Teen runaways found, Sweetwater man arrested

Edgefielddaily.com
web posted September 24, 2005

SWEETWATER
– Edgefield County Sheriff’s Deputies located two runaway teens Thursday afternoon on Gardner Road and arrested the owner of the home. The two teens, a male age 14 and a female age 15, ran away two days before they were found at the home of Justin Brock, 29 of Gardner Road, just off Macidonia Road. Investigator Robin Newton said the parents of both teens had been in the area searching for the two shortly before they were located.

According to Investigator Newton, Mr. Brock has been arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and criminal sexual conduct with a minor, which is a felony.

“There may still be some charges pending,” Investigator Newton said and those charges could possible result in further arrests. “The investigation is still ongoing,” she said and more information may be available Monday. Mr. Brock’s bond has not been set at this writing and he remains incarcerated at the Edgefield County Detention Center.

Edgefield Daily.com will follow up as more detail become available.
