Two homes were raided, one on Johnson Street and another on Sertoma Street. As a result of his arrest, Mr. Langford began working with narcotics officers on a series of drug stings in Edgefield and bordering counties when Mr. Langford stole an Aiken County Public Safety Cadillac SUV used in the stings from a North Augusta parking lot on Highway 1 and escaped to Broad Street in Augusta, Georgia Aiken County authorities said Tuesday. Mr. Langford is still on the run. Earlier reports that Mr. Langford may be armed were corrected on Tuesday when the weapons that were inside the Aiken County Public Safety SUV were recovered in the stolen vehicle. Aiken County authorities stated Mr. Langford left everything in the SUV, including the keys and he sought only to escape. Though the results of Mr. Langford’s assistance, or those arrested as a result of his cooperation have not been released at this writing, law enforcement officers are still working on the leads he offered to them EdgefieldDaily.com was told. Narcotic Officers are also working to try to identify dealers further up the “food chain” in the illegal narcotic trafficking that continues to plague not just Edgefield County, but surrounding counties as well. Presently Edgefield, Aiken, McCormick, and Saluda County authorities, as well as Richmond County law enforcement are searching for Mr. Langford. EdgefieldDaily.com will continue to follow this developing story as it continues to unfold. For
