Getting your goat Edgefielddaily.com web posted October 22, 2005 JOHNSTON – Wednesday evening a Johnston woman called the Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office to report someone had gotten her goat, or more accurately something, her neighbor’s five dogs. Deputy George Dedmondt responded to the call on the 900 block of Airport Road and found the dead goat with what appeared to be dog bites. Animal Control Officer Anthony Rackard also responded to the call and was unable to make contact with the neighbor. The owner of the goat said she wanted traps set to catch the dogs. The woman said the value of the goat was $175.00. Deputy Rackard is following up on the case with further investigations.
