Senseless vandals continue around county

Edgefielddaily.com
web posted October 26, 2005

COUNTY – A local restaurant was vandalized over the weekend. Vinny’s Bar and Grill on the 1300 block of Martintown Road was the scene of a burglary last month and a property check on Sunday night revealed the door to the establishment had been egged by unknown persons.

Deputy Curtis Morris, on a routine property check of local businesses discovered the vandalism around 1:00 am. The owner was notified and the investigation by the patrolling officer yielded no further information.

In Trenton a case of vandalism was reported by a woman who left her 1992 Cadillac parked on the side of Edgefield Road and Strawberry Hill. When the woman returned several hours later the driver’s side window had been broken out. Nothing was noted as being stolen from the car. Deputy Willie Callaham spoke to the woman and she stated the damage was around $300.

Vandalism continues to be a growing problem in the county from damaged mailboxes to such as those listed above. As growth continues in areas the amount of crime rises exponentially as well.
