  Sheriff's Office continues to seek accused child molester web posted December 14, 2007  EDGEFIELD – The
Edgefield Sheriff’s Office
is seeking the public’s help in locating a wanted man accused of
molesting a ten-year-old Edgefield County girl. Howard Russell Bodie,
56, is wanted on a felony warrant for criminal sexual conduct to a
minor under the age of 12. Edgefield Sheriff’s Chief Investigator Randy
Doran said Brodie is wanted on a charge in Aiken County as well.The investigation began in early October and ended with the filing of the felony charge weeks later. Mr. Bodie lived in the home with the victimized child and was advised to leave while the investigation was underway and he complied. He remained in touch with investigators until he was charged and has not been seen since. Inv. Doran said Bodie might be in immediate area or possibly in Gaffney, Mt. Morenci, or the Beach Island area of Aiken County where he has family. He is described as a white male, 56 years of age, 5’ 7” tall weighing approximately 125 pounds with thin brown hair. He often wears a baseball cap. He was a resident of the Rainbow Falls Road area in Edgefield County when the alleged crime took place.
