  Hispanic men arrested after report of shooting fully automatic weapons web posted December 17, 2007 COUNTY – Edgefield County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the Beaver Dam Shooting Range Sunday afternoon after a report of several Hispanic males shooting fully automatic weapons. A Game Warden was on the scene and observed the men from a distance until additional units could arrive. Once Deputies arrived on the scene the men were approached and disarmed. Three of the men were taken into custody at the scene. All nine were transported to the Edgefield Detention Center until their identities could be verified. The Sheriff’s Transport van was used to transport some of the men. It is unknown at this writing what charges the men are facing or the type of weapons recovered. Five of the men were later released and given a courtesy transport to meet with Aiken County Deputies. EdgefieldDaily.com will have more on this developing story as information becomes available. ©
