Congressman Duncan Announces District Events
web posted September 23, 2011
WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Jeff Duncan
has announced a number of listening sessions for the upcoming district
work week starting on Monday, September 26. Once again, there are no
appearances scheduled in Edgefield County.
On Monday, September 26th at 1:00pm the Congressman will be holding
office hours at his Congressional Office located in Seneca at 135 Suite
B, Eagles Nest Drive. Constituents are asked to contact
Congressman Duncan’s office at 864-224-7401 to set up an appointment.
Later that evening, the Congressman will be holding a “listening
session,” his second in Oconee in the last month, in Salem at the
Keowee Key Activity Center located on 1 Country Club Drive from 5:00pm
to 6:00pm. The event is free and open to the public.
On Tuesday, September 27th at 10:30am the Congressman will be holding
office hours at his Congressional Office located in Laurens at 200
Courthouse Public Square. Constituents are asked to contact
Congressman Duncan’s office at 864-681-1028 to set up an appointment.
On Wednesday September 28th at 9:00am the Congressman will be holding
office hours at his Congressional Office located in Greenwood at 600
Monument Street, Park Plaza, Room 104. Constituents are asked to
contact Congressman Duncan’s office at 864-681-1028 to set up an
appointment.
On Thursday September 29th at 10:30am the Congressman will be holding
office hours at his Congressional Office in Anderson at 303 West
Beltline Blvd. Constituents are asked to contact Congressman
Duncan’s office at 864-224-7401 to set up an appointment.
“We’ve held several ‘listening sessions’ across the district and have
found that they’re (a) great way for taking South Carolinians concerns
back to Washington. I’m always looking for ways to do a better job
listening, which is why I also wanted to give constituents a chance to
share their concerns in a more private setting. I think most people
overwhelmingly believe that our political system is broken, but what’s
important to remember is that the solution to getting our country back
on track lies with the people who make America great. If politicians
spent more time listening to the people they are supposed to represent,
I’m confident our country would be in a much better situation today”
said Duncan.
