web posted October 9, 2007 WALTERBORO SC – The South Carolina Artisans Center's official Ribbon Cutting for the new retail gallery is scheduled for 11am on Tuesday, October 30th and will feature recognition of officials and organizations that were instrumental in the development of the new retail gallery. The new gallery is attached to the existing historical Detreville House which will also serve as retail space. The Center will celebrate with a Grand Opening Gala with a gathering of artists, contributors, dignitaries, board members and guests on Saturday, November 3rd at the Center's Gallery, at 334 Wichman Street, Walterboro, SC. All members of the public are invited to attend the event. The Grand Opening Gala will begin at 6:00 pm on Saturday afternoon. Tickets can be purchased at the Center for $40 per person/$70 per couple. Refreshments, artist demonstrations, music and an auction will be featured for the evening. Auction items will include original artwork donated by the participating juried artists as well as items donated by businesses and individuals.
