Construction instruction at STCC has been honored with one of top three
Outstanding Teachers Awards in South Carolina, presented by the US Air
Force.Staff Sergeant Josh Martin, US Air Force, Aiken presented Mr. Burt with a plaque and engraved multi function tool. The awards are determined through student submission. A total of 30,000 entries were received across the entire country with only 250 of those receiving the honor. Only three educators in SC were honored with the award. The award credits Mr. Burt by being one of the most dedicated and respected teachers in the Technology Educators Network as well as making outstanding contributions daily to all students. Mr. Burt is now eligible for the 2007 – 2008 Technology Teacher of the Year. Only twelve of the 250 selected across the country will receive this award. For
