  School photo features students promoting gang signs web posted May 26, 2010  JOHNSTON – You just
have to wonder about
the fine upstanding students making their way through the public
education system in Edgefield County. A recent photo provided by the
School District included some students flashing “gang signs” when they
were photographed delivering a chicken coop to a local resident.
According to local law enforcement, at least two of the students
displayed known gang symbols in the photo.It is one thing that these gangs are prevalent in our county, but it is another matter when they make that known in photographs supplied by the school district.  According to law
enforcement agencies, at least two of those featured
were displaying known gang hand signals including the local “2-5 Gang”
and the nationally recognized “Bloods” gang. © Copyright 2010
