 Rebel Regiment Takes 5th Place Overall Honors In Competition web posted October 4, 2006 COUNTY – The Rebel Regiment traveled to Irmo High School for the Palmetto-Espirit de Corps Invitational Contest on September 30. This was the first competition of the season for the Marching Regiment. The band received second place in the 3A Division and took 5th place overall honors. They also received an “excellent rating” in the 3A Division. A total of 17 bands from across the state competed. The local band booster club received the Espirit Corps Award for being the most supportive and encouraging booster club of the Golden Divisions. The Rebel Regiment will be in competition on October 14th at the “Bands Across The Savannah” Contest at North Augusta; before Lower State Competition on October 21 at West Ashley High in Charleston, SC., and State Competition on October 28 at Batesburg-Leesville.
