Padgett Selected For Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Seminar

web posted November 21, 2006
Left to right: Bennie Padgett and Tra'ves Bush
COUNTY - Strom Thurmond High School is proud to announce that Bennie Padgett has been selected to be the school’s representative at the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Seminar to be held in the Spring of 2007 in Charleston.

Each year, the students and teachers of Strom Thurmond High School select one sophomore to attend this prestigious seminar. Tra’ves Bush was selected as first runner-up and will serve as the alternate delegate.

The Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Seminar is a three day event. Students who attend are a select group of high school sophomores with demonstrated leadership abilities. They join a group of distinguished leaders in business, education, government and the professions and interact where students get a realistic look at what makes America’s Incentive System work, thus better enabling the students “to think for themselves”.
