  “In The Spotlight” Program Recognizes Students webposted November 21, 2006 JOHNSTON – Outstanding students from Strom Thurmond Career Center and Fox Creek High School were recognized at the November 14th Edgefield County School District Board of Trustees Meeting. The program spotlights the achievements and accomplishments of students who have excelled in various academic and extra-curricular activities. From Strom Thurmond Career Center, Kyle Harper, Jessica Gibson, Parker Northrop and Graham Holson-Members of the STCC Agronomy Team and students Josh McLlvried, Jonthan Holmes, Brittany Bearden and Ashley Miller-Forestry Team were presented certificates and Outstanding Student lapel pins for their performance at the national FFA Convention. From Fox Creek High School, the volleyball team was recognized for their honor of winning the Class A Region IV regional title. The members of this team are: Amber Anderson, Erica Just, Casey Mathis, Kristen Williams, Samantha Bryant, Lindsay Templeton, Devin Lacey, Breanna Thomasson, Danielle Payne, Samantha Hollifield, Mali Domani, Tiffany Anderson, Joy Brown and Kaitlyn Johnson. Also, Brittany Gobat from Fox Creek High School was recognized for her state swimming title in the 100 yard breast stroke category and the setting of a new state record. These students also received certificates and lapel pins. Dr. Sharon W. Keesley spoke of the outstanding achievements of these students and was assisted by Dr. Frank Roberson with the presentation of awards. Congratulations to these outstanding students. For
