STHS Mock Trial Team Members Selected

web posted November 22, 2006

JOHNSTON – Strom Thurmond High is proud to announce the members of the 2006 – 2007 Mock Trial Team.  These students have begun the tedious process of preparing for the Mock Trial Competitions to be held in the Spring of 2007. This year a murder case involving a college student spiking beverages at a Halloween Party will be presented.

The students are now in the process of working on their roles in the “mock trial” as well as learning the numerous laws that affect court cases.
Students go through a four part selection process to become a member of the team. They take a test, tryout as a witness and deliver an opening statement. The four component is teacher recommendation.
