Woman Discovers Strangers Living in Her Home
web posted January 4, 2013
TRENTON – A Sand Rock Way woman called the
Edgefield County Sheriff's Office to report strangers living in her
home on Wednesday. Her neighbor told a responding deputy that a white
woman living in the home confronted him with a shotgun in mid December
when he entered the yard to retrieve his dog that had gotten out. The
homeowner stated she moved in with her mother in Aiken County 8 months
ago to care for her, but still owned the home.
According to an incident report, the woman stated that the person or
persons living in the home were using her electric power, had changed
the locks on the doors and had placed trash everywhere.
Deputies were unable to locate anyone at the home at the time of the
complaint. A witness said that a white female was often seen at the
home as well as a Hispanic male. A white male was also often seen
walking around the area peeping into homes.
Deputies advised the neighbor to call when the people returned to the
home and placed the home on extra patrols. No one was able to provide
any information as to the identities of the suspects.
