Burglary numbers continue to increase this week

web posted February 25, 2009
TRENTON – A Trenton home has been added to the list of those targeted for burglary recently and, with an estimated $23,000 in stolen property and damage, it is one of the more costly ones. A friend of the homeowner discovered the burglary Monday afternoon when he arrived at the Airport Road home to feed the owners livestock.

The home and at least two outbuildings were “forcibly entered” however nothing was initially thought to have been taken from inside the structures. Several Dewalt tool chargers were taken from several shelves on a porch.

Taken from under a carport were an E-Z-Go golf cart and a 12-foot enclosed white Wells Fargo trailer containing an estimated $15,000 in tools was missing from beside the carport. The tools were described as numerous Dewalt drills, saws, nail guns, and air compressors.

An investigator was called to process the scene for evidence including tire tracks and footprints.

Another Trenton home was also burglarized Monday with entry being made by prying open a door and stealing a Sony stereo.
