Another storage unit burglarized: same truck and driver caught on video
web

TRENTON – Sheriff’s
Investigators were
back out at the Trenton Self Storage business again Wednesday morning
with another report of a break-in of a storage unit, this time stealing
a 4x4 ATV. Chief Investigator Randy Doran said the theft took place
just after 4 am when the suspect from the earlier theft returned
driving the same Ford F150 truck, “It’s the same guy, same truck,” Inv.
Doran said. This is the second theft at the
storage facility in a week
and the
third in the county this month with a total of eight units
being targeted for thousands of dollars in goods.
Investigators were able to obtain additional surveillance footage of
the truck, the driver, and this time an accomplice. Inv. Doran said
they are following possible leads in the recent cases but did not
elaborate. Authorities are still seeking the public’s help in finding
the truck, described as a dark colored Ford F150 extended cab
with a silver stripe along the bottom edge of the sides and chrome
rims.
The truck is seen entering the gate with an empty bed and driving out
with the ATV in the back. Another unidentified white male was with the
driver but no description was provided. The driver is described as a
white male, approximately 6-foot, weighing between 230 and 250 pounds
and possibly a grey beard.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Edgefield County Sheriff’s
Office at 803-637-5337 or 803-278-1625. You can give information and
remain anonymous.
So far the thefts have occurred on Sundays or Wednesdays.
