  Two arrested for electrical power theft web posted April 28, 2010 TRENTON – A Hayes drive man and woman were arrested Monday afternoon after a worker for Aiken Electric Co-operative called the Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office to report electricity being restored to a home that had the meter removed by the electric company. Christopher Anthony Jones, 23, and Anganette M. Brad, 45, both of the Hayes Drive home, were arrested and transported to the Edgefield County Detention Center and booked on a custody hold awaiting formal charges of theft of electrical current. According to reports, the Sheriff’s Investigator observed where the seal placed on the power pole by the electric company when the meter was removed had been cut and the power was restored and was not being paid for. © Copyright 2010
