  Trenton Firefighters and Deputies respond to secluded car fire web posted May 2, 2007 TRENTON – The Trenton Fire Department was summoned to a fire on Salters Pond Road Monday night just before 10 to discover a burning car. Once finding a car on fire the Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office was also called to the scene. Due to the secluded location firefighters had a short delay in locating the fire. Once they arrived and identified the source they were able to put the fire out quickly. As Deputies arrived one spotted two young men walking down Salters Pond Road and stopped them in order to find out if they knew anything about the car fire. Both denied having any knowledge about the fire. After the scene was investigated the car was towed from the area. The case is still under investigation. No owner information of the car was available. For
