  Trenton home burglarized Friday web posted May 11, 2010 TRENTON – An elderly man living on the 3500 block of Highway 19 in Trenton called the Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office to report arriving home and finding the front door to his home kicked open. A deputy arrived a short time later and confirmed forced entry into the home. According to incident reports, the person or persons stole a .22 caliber rifle, a “Durabrand” portable stereo system and a black twenty-inch flat screen TV from the bedroom. At this time the victim was unable to provide serial numbers for some of the items taken. An investigator was called to the scene to process the home for evidence. The total value of damage and stolen property was estimated at $1,940. The crime was believed to have taken place during the daytime hours between 9:30 am and 1:30 pm. © Copyright 2010
