Thursday Night Burglaries Possibly Linked

web posted June 7, 2014

TRENTON Two burglaries reported early Friday morning may be connected, both taking place overnight and a short distance from each other. The person or persons responsible targeted property on Whitlock Road and another on Highway 25 sometime between midnight and early Friday morning.

Both properties had outbuildings that were targeted by the thieves, not the homes where the owners were sleeping at the time. Stolen from the home on Whitlock Road were a completely wooded trailer with "car tires", a 4-wheeler, a moped, and a wide assortment of tools.

Taken from outbuildings at the Highway 25 home was a pressure washer, generator, a motorcycle, an oxygen tank used for welding and a large number of assorted tools.

Anyone spotting a vehicle towing a solid wooden trailer along the Highway 25 corridor early Friday morning is asked to call the Edgefield County Sheriff's Office at 803-637-5337.

Incident reports on the burglaries were not available Friday. Edgefield Daily will have more information when the reports are released.
