Investigator solves car theft report within hours web posted July 20, 2006 TRENTON – A report of a stolen car came in to E911 dispatchers Tuesday from a Family Circle resident in Trenton. An investigator responded to the call and began the short investigation before discovering not only the location of the car, but also who had stolen it. The homeowner told the investigator that the car was at his home when he arrived home from work on Monday and he heard nothing throughout the night. When he awoke, he discovered the yellow 1967 Dodge Coronet gone. During the daylong investigation, it was learned that a car matching the description had been sold to a recycling company in Aiken County around 9:30 Tuesday morning. The investigator went to the company and verified the vehicle identification number on the car matched that of the one missing from the Trenton resident. The paperwork showed the identification of the man that sold the car to the company stating it had a clear title. A warrant for the suspect's arrest has been issued for the larceny. The suspect has not been arrested as of 11 pm Wednesday night. Until his arrest his identity is being withheld. For
