 Dog finds buried gun web posted July 21, 2006 TRENTON – Wednesday afternoon a woman notified the Sheriff’s Office that her dog dug up a gun and she wanted to have a deputy come by to retrieve it. A Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the home on Sandy Springs Road where the woman showed the deputy where the gun was found. It had been buried inside of a sock. The deputy took the gun and the sock into custody. The gun was identified as a black New England Firearms .32 caliber revolver. The gun was loaded with five rounds and had to be oiled in order to remove the live rounds from the pistol. The gun and all evidence has been turned over the investigative branch of the Sheriffs Office. For
