Prowler suspect in theft of gun web posted August 22, 2007 TRENTON – Early Tuesday morning a Trenton man called the Sheriff’s Office to report a prowler and the theft of a pistol from his Jeep Cherokee parked in his yard. The Winding Road man made the call about 2:46 am records show. A deputy arrived at the home a short time later and was informed by the homeowner that he noticed the interior light in his Jeep was on shortly after 1 am and went outside to investigate. When he did he told police he saw someone running through the field next to his home. As he investigated further he discovered his silver and black Acutex .380 caliber pistol was missing and called police. The man was unable to provide the deputy with a serial number on the pistol but stated he had purchased it recently from an Aiken business. The case has been turned over to the Investigative Division of the Sheriff’s Office. EdgefieldDaily.com will update the Stolen Section to include the weapon when we are provided with the required information. For
