  Stolen vehicle found burned in Aiken County web posted August 26, 2008 TRENTON – Early Sunday morning Edgefield County Deputies contacted a Trenton man to inquire about a car found in Aiken County burned and completely destroyed. The Courtney Road man was alerted by deputies around 4:20 am Sunday about the car being found. The Trenton man told deputies he arrived home around 8 pm Saturday night and the car was in still in his back yard. As the deputy and the owner made their way to the back yard the 1992 Honda Accord was gone and the only thing left behind was broken glass on the ground, reports state. No suspects were listed in police reports but the owner did inform the deputy that the car was “fully insured”. No suspects were listed in the reports. The case has been forwarded on to the Investigative Division of the Sheriff’s Office for follow-up. Currently the Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office deals with an average of almost one stolen vehicle a week. ©
