Ryan's Dream Center Burglarized: Citizen Provides Tip
web posted October 19, 2012
TRENTON – Ryan's Dream Center on the 3300
block of Highway 19 near Trenton was targeted in a burglary with over
$5,000 of home accessories, appliances and furniture stolen. The owner
arrived and called the Edgefield County Sheriff's Office to report the
crime. The persons forced their way into the building through a rear
doorway.
As investigators were processing the crime scene and obtaining a long
list of stolen items, a Trenton man noticed the Crime Scene Unit and
Patrol cars at the business and stopped to ask if there had been a
burglary and did it include a number of specific items which had
actually been stolen. When the investigators confirmed the list of
items the man said he saw a grey newer model Nissan Titan truck pulling
out of the location earlier with a possible 6x9 foot trailer loaded
with appliances and other items earlier.
The witness could only give a description of two black males in the
truck and nothing further. The truck turned on Highway 19 and headed
towards Trenton.
Among the stolen items was a lawn mower trailer valued at $450.
During the initial investigation a possible suspect was identified, but
is not listed officially as a suspect at this time. The case is
currently under active investigation.
Items stolen ranged from 5 gallon cans of Thompson Water Seal, paint, a
microwave, wine cooler (refrigerated), lamps and wall lights,
chandeliers, mirrors, refrigerators, a stove, lawn edger, tools, and
many other items.
The initial list of estimated value was listed at $5,162, but could
grow as a full inventory is
completed.
