  Trenton Flyers Candy Drop big hit on the ground web posted October 31, 2006  TRENTON – The Trenton Flyers' annual Halloween Candy Drop
held Saturday at Yonce Field, Edgefield County Airport in Trenton was
enjoyed by approximately 70 children and adults. The largest
group was at the 4:00 fly by. Those in attendance had an
opportunity to see a variety of airplanes, meet the pilots and
experience the thrill of candy dropping from the sky.Dave Gardner, pilot, Trenton Flyer member and Twin Lakes resident was assisted by David Padgett in dropping candy to the delight and applause of all. The newest member of the Trenton Flyers, Lt. Col. Alfonso Jackson shared his enthusiasm for aviation and presented information on the history of the Tuskegge Airmen.  Comments from the
crowd included; we enjoyed this last year, I didn't know there was an
airport here, we weren't sure you were still having the candy drop
because of the weather and when are you doing this again? The Trenton Flyers have participated in many community events in the past and look forward to more in the future. Trenton Flyers are always looking for opportunities to share their love of flying and to promote safe flying with others. They welcome new members.
