Trenton home "trashed" in burglary
web posted November 16, 2005

TRENTON – A Trenton woman reported a burglary Saturday of the home she and her boyfriend rented and stated “thousands of dollars worth of appliances, tools, and other,” items had been stolen. Edgefield County Sheriff’s Investigator Phil Ireland responded to the location and is investigating the theft.

Upon arrival Investigator Ireland found the home, located on Flintlock Court in Trenton, “trashed” and the boxes being torn open and the remaining contents strewn about the home. The woman stated she and her boyfriend were in the process of moving to a Deans Bridge Road home in Augusta and had packed all their belongings in boxes in preparation for the move.

The case is still under investigation and leads in the case are being pursued at this time. Investigator Ireland stated the case should be wrapped up in the next two days. EdgefieldDaily.com will have a follow-up when the case is resolved. Those responsible could be charged with Burglary and Grand Larceny as the case moves forward.
