the Pep Rallies? When I was at STHS, we had a Pep Rally each Friday in
the gym!!! The gym was large enough then to accommodate the students,
why isn’t it now? We had more students when I was in high school than
they have now! It makes no sense to me for these kids NOT to have a Pep
Rally during football season each Friday!!!!!! So what if it takes away
45 minutes of class time. They are already taking away from class time
with the useless REBEL RECON!!!!! web posted September 29, 2012 1.
Obviously
there
is not good supervision at the pep rallys if it has
become such a problem.
2. I think it is unfair to the good
students to have to pay to attend pep rallys. Even the bad
students can attend and still disrupt for the sum of 75 cents. Instead,
if a student is caught
acting up, they get one written warning. The second time start
charging them $3.00 to attend the pep rally each time for the rest of
the year. They probably won’t attend. If they still attend
and disrupt again, the charge goes up to $5.00 to attend. If it
costs them enough, maybe they will stop attending. This way the
good students are not penalized. Question: Where do the students
go who do not attend pep rallys and are they supervised???? web posted September 29, 2012 Who gives a [removed] about some
stupid pep rally? We have to get racist Norman Dorn off the county
council!!!!!! Gee wizz people! Pay attention to what matters! Who
cares? Vote Dorn out! He's gotta go once and for all. He's just like
Obama, lie, lie, lie, pimp race, call people names, ignore his sorry
[removed] record. For God's sake wake up! web posted September 29, 2012 I have quite a dilemma to figure
out. I need a new phone but it is hard to justify the cost of some of
these phones. If I get the one that will best serves my needs, I may
not have a lot of extra money left over to help pay for Obama phones. I
would just hate to not provide someone with a new phone, especially if
that new phone motivates them to vote for Obama.
If you are a Drudge Report reader, don't miss the one on the Obama
phones today. It is amazing and actually hard to believe that someone
is as dumb as this woman appears to be.
I sat here trying to figure out why she is so angry. She has all the
handouts. What more could she possible want? Oh yes, she wants four
more years of this debacle- after all she will need a new phone within
the next four years, right? It is so nice to know that those of us who
work hard can be sharing our "wealth" with these kinds of people.
No wonder this country is in the mess it is in. Heaven help us all!!! web posted September 29, 2012 Re: Editor's note: I agree,
but where do you draw the line between a "breeder" and someone who owns
several hunting dogs that has a few litters a year that they offer for
sale?
As soon as they offer them "For Sale" they are, IMHO, professional
breeders. "Free To Good Home" would surely relieve them of the
additional four-legged mouths to feed. Not to mention they are
irresponsible for not having their pets spayed and neutered. But
also, "Licensing" is not going to stop the illegal puppy mill. web posted September 29, 2012 RE: Executive Orders

Here are the Obama voters: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=tpAOwJvTOio web posted September 29, 2012 Don't believe the polls on the
Presidential race. I heard two reasons why these skewed numbers are
suppose to help the President. It would be easier to claim voter fraud
if Romney were to win when the President has high poll numbers. Also,
they are trying to discourage the base. I just have to keep thinking
about the turn out at Chick Fil A. I know the base is there and we have
to keep motivated. If the other side thinks it is in the bag,
hopefully they won't see the need to go to the polls.
Also, real voter fraud almost happened in WI. Our servicemen and women
were given the wrong date to get their votes in (they were given a date
past the deadline). It was discovered and corrected (thank you
conservatives) so it shouldn't be an issue. Hopefully their mail will
get there in time!!! After all, a lot of people in the service vote
Republican. Gee I wonder how a mistake like this almost happened????
It is so nice to sit here in my jammies and drink coffee while I write
to wandering minds. I too worked, retired and now have a little time
(that I earned) to actually follow much of what is going on in the
world. Maybe that is why seniors seem to be pretty informed of what is
going on. We have also lived long lives and just might have some wisdom
about what actually works in this country. We just can't let the lies
and scare tactics take hold. Gray power!!!!

What about football games and students misbehaving, are we going to do

STUPID...as a former student, the pep rallies at ST suck anyways.
No one wants to go to them. web posted September 28, 2012 RE: "What's the big deal about

Typical liberal response. Always devising ways to put your hand
in the wage earners pocket! And always when the economy is tough
on a lot of families. If the schools didn't waste money on stupid
stuff, they would have the supplies needed. It's a school pep
rally! Intent - to instill camaraderie, esprit de corps, and a
sense of pride in one's school and teams. Everyone should attend
- period.
That's what's wrong with this country, we give people a way out
especially when it comes to showing pride in one's nation, one's
beliefs, one's culture. This is exactly what is wrong with the
black culture. It's not the racism that RACE BAITERS like BIBBS,
COOKS, REVERAND NAACP, DORN, BRIGHT, and let's not forget the diamond
in the rough, COCAINE JACKSON, pedal. It's always giving someone
an excuse not to do something. The black community has a real
good opportunity to start reversing that trend- VOTE OUT BIBBS and
DUFUS, oops, DORN!
We need to start rebuilding pride in America! And we need to
start getting, and keeping, people's hands out of our pockets!
This $3 charge won't last long. GUARANTEED!
Editor's note: The fee has been removed. web posted September 28, 2012 RE: If she [Abel] was going to be just fined why
wasn’t the cost of all the agencies coming down here with all their
rigs and the medical care that had to be given to the animals
considered?
Good question! I am hoping that HSUS and PetSmart charities (which are
bearing the cost of the raid, the vetting and the boarding of the
animals) SUE Callie Abel in civil court (just like Nicole Simpson's
family sued OJ Simpson in civil court after he got off the murder
charges) . If you cant put em behind bars, at least hurt them in the
pocketbook.
In addition this entire situation shows the need for stronger animal
protection laws, making animal cruelty a felony (not a misdemeanor) and
licensing breeders would be a start in the right direction.
Editor's note: I agree, but where do you draw the line between a
"breeder" and someone who owns several hunting dogs that has a few
litters a year that they offer for sale? Or, for that matter, someone
who has a pair of dogs who may have a litter of 6 to 12 at a time?
Perhaps it should be more of a revision of the laws on what "animal
cruelty" is opposed to "ill treatment of animals". web posted September 28, 2012 One thing that disturbs me...As I
sit here and check my Food Stamp balance on my Obamaphone...Is the way
that we"ve all been set up for a class battle by the Washington power
groups...
This has less to do with how much we spend on the poor than how much we
lavish on inefficient economic sectors...from higher education to
health care..and all those entitlements for people who really don't
need them...well-off retirees and homeowners...Social Security and tax
reductions for the wealthy retirees and mortgage deductions for the 30%
of the taxpayers that actually itemize...not to mention all the
business deductions...to send jobs overseas...
It's sort of like that big movie last year..."The Hunger Games" in
which teenagers from different parts of the country are forced to fight
to the death...Not much difference here...and yes, for many of us IT IS
a fight to the death...When medicines are cut and access to quality
care is curtailed...While we debate whether people making over $250,000
get a tax cut...When will this madness end ?
Yes, Obama's made mistakes...shoving more and more borrowed money into
programs that are flawed ...But, Romney and the Republicans can't come
up with anything more than demonizing the 47%...
We're running these big deficits...not because we're letting poor
people get away with anything but maybe...because too many powerful
groups, on both the left and the right, have a big stake in making sure
this big, big party doesn't stop...
Think about this when these politicians...on either side...Attempt to
hoodwink you with a bunch of rhetoric about how evil so-and-so is...Be
sure and check THEIR back pocket...
Now, where's the free beer??? web posted September 28, 2012 ST charging for a Pep Rally is
ridiculous. Pep rally’s are supposed to be fun and full of
excitement and energy. Even when I was in school there were those
students that tried to cause problems and become to rowdy, but they
were warned the 1st time and if the problem continued they were
escorted out and disciplined to a week in the “hole” (in school
suspension). Deal with the individual students and allow the other
students to embrace their team spirit! If you have issues with
students and their behavior in class what do you do with them?
This is no different you remove the problem, issue discipline and move
on. As adult’s you are to take charge and correct the
problem.
The schools systems ask for money all the time and I don’t mind doing
my part, but to charge for a Pep rally is a bit much. Due to the
economy families are doing all they can to provide the necessary items
needed for themselves and now you want to charge $3 for a Pep
rally. If your goal is to get rid of the Pep rally then just stop
having them. I think not having them is really sad, because I
have great memories of our past Pep rally’s. All of my friends
getting pumped up for the football games and the fun of watching the
Football players dress up like cheerleaders for the homecoming game;
etc. Take charge and get rid of your problem students, but don’t punish
all students for the few that are issues.
As for the use of the monies to purchase items for teachers that is
good, but a sad way to get funds. Has the school system reached out to
some of the industries across the county to see if they would be
willing to donate these items or provide a monetary donation or maybe
adopt the school to assist with these much needed items? Just a
thought.. web posted September 28, 2012 Re: editor's post: "It is rare that
a judge
departs from a plea all parties signed off on. I disagree with most
plea deals worked out be it in Magistrate Court or General Sessions
Court, but that is irrelevant. I'm not a judge."
The judge does not have to accept the plea offered by the state or the
defendant prior to sentencing and Judge Carpenter could have sent this
woman to jail for the better part of a year. I know that you know that
and I don't know why you are trying to cover for Carpenter.
Editor's note: I don't think anything I have said was an attempt to
"cover" for Chief Magistrate Carpenter. I have stated I strongly
disagreed with the sentence and the fine and that I am against plea
deals to move a case along just for the sake of getting it off the
books. Judge Carpenter was presented with an agreement reached by all
parties and she went with that, it is standard operating procedure. I
disagree with that as well, but that is the system and I can only
report the facts.
She could have throw that out, but, let's face facts, judges don't do
that as often as they shouls in my opinion. And that is all it is, just
my opinion. web posted September 28, 2012 Charging students $3.00 to attend a
pep-rally that will only last 30 minutes is the craziest thing I have
ever heard of. I wouldn’t like it, but I would almost be ok with my
child paying $1.00 to attend a pep-rally, but not $3.00 for the few
minutes. Come on people, find a way to make this work for all the
students so everyone can participate – if it means moving the pep-rally
outside to the football stadium.
Think about the kids here!! web posted September 28, 2012 RE: “What's the big deal about
charging students to attend a pep rally at STHS?”
The big deal is that many families in Edgefield may find $3.00 a week
(and that’s if you only have 1 child in high school) a bit of a
hardship. With having to supply children notebooks, backpacks, pens,
paper, calculators, and who knows what else, the school district just
keeps piling it on those who may not be able to afford more. I remember
when my children went to STHS and what was required of me and my wife
to have to supply them. We had three children at STHS at one time and
it was somewhat overwhelming for us. We both pulled down a fairly
decent income and we were hard pressed to come up with the money back
then. Also, who determines where and how this money is spent? One
writer stated that this decision was made to control discipline
problems. Really, this is the answer our educators came up with to
control discipline? Make the innocent pay to keep out the guilty.
Whatever happened to the concept of making those who refuse to follow
the rules pay the consequences for their action? I am one happy man for
not having children in the Edgefield County school system. I have
watched for years our school system go steadily downhill. But I will
admit this problem is not only in Edgefield, but country wide. Our
educators and administrators are losing control and I believe it is
tied directly to the liberal morals that are infecting our country. The
days of parents taking responsibility for raising respectful children,
for people having to accept the consequences for their actions, for
teaching our children right from wrong and making them pay when they
make the wrong decision, for schools not tolerating those actions that
disrupt the learning process, seem to be in the past. Today parents,
educators and administrators seem afraid to discipline these children.
Instead they come up with the ingenious plan to make those who follow
the rules pay for those who refuse to. What really drives my point home
are the posts by those individuals who don’t see anything wrong with
this thought process. It just reinforces to me that good common sense
is a thing of the past. I guess I’m just an old dinosaur who remembers
a time of strong discipline for children, who learned at a young age,
to respect the rules of society. I’m the dinosaur whose children, who
are now in their late twenties, still say, “yes sir and no sir”. Who
have learned a strong work ethic, Who have and sometimes continue to
make bad decisions, but have to pay the price for those decisions. I
love my children and do not enjoy seeing them suffer in anyway. But I
do not jump in and bail them out when they get out of line. They have
learned that there are consequences for their actions, both good and
bad. If these kids want to disrupt a pep rally with unacceptable
behavior, make them pay for that behavior. Teach them that, if they
want to act a certain way, there is a price to be paid. On the other
side teach those kids, who know how to act properly, that they will be
rewarded for good behavior. Is this really a difficult concept? REALLY?

What is the matter with this picture?!?!?
First we have DearLeader endorsing & pushing the gay agenda.
And now Madonna, in her potty-mouth fashion, states that he is a “Black
Muslim”, and praised him for his support of the gays.
Say what?!?!! How can one endorse the gay lifestyle & at the
same time be a true Muslim??? Didn’t think the Koran
approved that lifestyle. That combo sure doesn’t work very well in
Iraq. According to a recent report by BBC in UK, (“Witch Hunt in

When you've read to the end, come back and read this first paragraph

A Coil of Rage
The character of any man is defined by how he treats his mother as the
years pass .... need I say more about this person below other than
there is no character, no integrity but there is a ton of attitude and
arrogance that defines his shallow past and hollow future..... I rest
my case..
I bought and read Obama's book, Audacity of Hope. It was difficult to
read considering his attitude toward us and everything American. Let me
add a phrase he used to describe his attitude toward whites. He harbors
a
"COIL OF RAGE". His words, not mine.
THIS IS OUR PRESIDENT -- HE'S RUNNING AGAIN, YOU KNOW! Is anyone
out there awake?
Everyone of voting age should read these two books by him: Don't buy
them, just get them from the library.
From Dreams From My Father:
"I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I
began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites."
From Dreams From My Father :
"I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and
animosity against my mother's race."
From Dreams From My Father:
"There was something about her that made me wary, a little too sure of
herself, maybe and white."
From Dreams From My Father:
"It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your
loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names."
From Dreams From My Father:
"I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my
own. It was into my father's image, the blackman, son of Africa , that
I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself: the attributes of
Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela."
And FINALLY ............... and most scary:
From Audacity of Hope:
"I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an
ugly direction."
I don't care whether you are a Democrat, a Republican, a Conservative
or a liberal, be aware of the attitude and character of this sitting
President.
If he is re-elected, remember the above and realize that, as a
second-term president he will no longer have to please anybody and he
will be wielding the EXECUTIVE ORDER! web posted September 28, 2012 OBAMA KNEW LIBYA ATTACK WAS AL

" Winston, come into the dining room, it's time to eat," Julia yelled
to her husband.
"In a minute, honey, it's a tie score," he answered.
Actually Winston wasn't very interested in the traditional holiday
football game between Detroit and Washington . Ever since the
government passed the Civility in Sports Statute of 2017, outlawing
tackle football for its "unseemly violence" and the "bad example it
sets for the rest of the world", Winston was far less of a football fan
than he used to be. Two-hand touch wasn't nearly as
exciting.
Yet it wasn't the game that Winston was uninterested in. It was
more the thought of eating another Tofu Turkey . Even though it was the
best type of VeggieMeat available after the government revised the
American Anti-Obesity Act of 2018, adding fowl to the list of
federally-forbidden foods, (which already included potatoes, cranberry
sauce, and mincemeat pie), it wasn't anything like real turkey.
And ever since the government officially changed the name of
"Thanksgiving Day" to "A National Day of Atonement" in 2020, to
officially acknowledge the Pilgrims' historically brutal treatment of
Native Americans, the holiday had lost a lot of its luster.
Eating in the dining room was also a bit daunting. The unearthly
gleam of government-mandated fluorescent light bulbs made the Tofu
Turkey look even weirder than it actually was, and the room was always
cold. Ever since Congress passed the Power Conservation Act of
2016, mandating all thermostats - which were monitored and controlled
by the electric company - be kept at 68 degrees, every room on the
north side of the house was barely tolerable throughout the entire
winter.
Still, it was good getting together with family. Or at least most of
the family.
Winston missed his mother, who passed on in October, when she had used
up her legal allotment of life-saving medical treatment. He had
had many heated conversations with the Regional Health Consortium,
spawned when the private insurance market finally went bankrupt, and
everyone was forced into the government health care program.
And though he demanded she be kept on her treatment, it was a futile
effort. "The RHC's resources are limited," explained the
government bureaucrat Winston spoke with on the phone. "Your mother
received all the benefits to which she was entitled. I'm sorry for your
loss."
Ed couldn't make it either. He had forgotten to plug in his electric
car last night, the only kind available after the Anti-Fossil Fuel Bill
of 2021 outlawed the use of the combustion engines - for everyone but
government officials. The fifty mile round trip was about ten
miles too far, and Ed didn't want to spend a frosty night on the road
somewhere between here and there.
Thankfully, Winston's brother, John, and his wife were flying in.
Winston made sure that the dining room chairs had extra cushions for
the occasion. No one complained more than John about the pain of
sitting down so soon after the government-mandated cavity searches at
airports, which severely aggravated his hemorrhoids. Ever since a
terrorist successfully smuggled a cavity bomb onto a jetliner, the TSA
told Americans the added "inconvenience" was an "absolute necessity" in
order to stay "one step ahead of the terrorists."
Winston's own body had grown accustomed to such probing ever since the
government expanded their scope to just about anywhere a crowd
gathered, via Anti-Profiling Act of 2022. That law made it a
crime to single out any group or individual for "unequal scrutiny,"
even when probable cause was involved. Thus, cavity searches at
malls, train stations, bus depots, etc., etc., had become almost
routine. Almost.
The Supreme Court is reviewing the statute, but most Americans expect a
Court composed of six progressives and three conservatives to leave the
law intact. "A living Constitution is extremely flexible", said
the Court's eldest member, Elena Kagan. " Europe has had laws like this
one for years. We should learn from their example," she added.
Winston's thoughts turned to his own children. He got along
fairly well with his 12-year-old daughter, Brittany, mostly because she
ignored him. Winston had long ago surrendered to the idea that
she could text anyone at any time, even during Atonement Dinner.
Their only real confrontation had occurred when he limited her to
50,000 texts a month, explaining that was all he could afford.
She whined for a week, but got over it.
His 16-year-old son, Jason, was another matter altogether. Perhaps it
was the constant bombarding he got in public school that global
warming, the bird flu, terrorism, or any of a number of other
calamities were "just around the corner", but Jason had developed a
kind of nihilistic attitude that ranged between simmering surliness and
outright hostility. It didn't help that Jason had reported his
father to the police for smoking a cigarette in the house, an act made
criminal by the Smoking Control Statute of 2018, which outlawed smoking
anywhere within 500 feet of another human being. Winston paid the
$5,000 fine, which might have been considered excessive before the
American dollar became virtually worthless as a result of QE13.
The latest round of quantitative easing the federal government
initiated was, once again, to "spur economic growth." This time, they
promised to push unemployment below its years-long rate of 18%, but
Winston was not particularly hopeful.
Yet the family had a lot for which to be thankful, Winston thought,
before remembering it was a Day of Atonement. At least, he had his
memories. He felt a twinge of sadness when he realized his
children would never know what life was like in the Good Old Days, long
before government promises to make life "fair for everyone" realized
their full potential. Winston, like so many of his fellow
Americans, never realized how much things could change when they didn't
happen all at once, but little by little, so people could get used to
them. He wondered what might have happened if the public had
stood up while there was still time, maybe back around 2011, when all
the real nonsense began. "Maybe we wouldn't be where we are today
if we'd just said 'enough is enough' when we had the chance," he
thought.
Maybe so, Winston. Maybe so. web posted September 22, 2012 Jon Voight Probably Just Ended His

Jackson is making a war cry: “Let God’s people go!”
Jackson, a Marine Corps veteran, graduate of Harvard Law School and
adjunct professor of law, is echoing the words of Moses in a campaign
to persuade Christians of all races that the time has come for a
wholesale exodus of Christians from the Democrat Party.
The former candidate for U.S. Senate in Virginia points to what he
calls the Democrat party's “cult-like devotion” to abortion; the
rejection of the traditional biblical model of family; the hostility
hurled at those who express a Christian viewpoint such as Chick-fil-A
president and Chief Operating Officer Dan Cathy; the actions of
organizations such as the ACLU and the Foundation For Freedom From
Religion in suing cities and towns for displaying crosses at memorials
or mentioning the name Jesus in prayer at official events.
Beyond all of this, Jackson says, Democrat operatives are also
attacking Gabrielle Douglas, the 16-year old black American who won the
2012 gold medal in gymnastics.
“The accomplished young lady had the nerve to give glory to God for her
win,” Jackson says. “This apparently offended liberals.”
Case in point: Mary Elizabeth Williams, journalist for the progressive
online magazine Salon.com, wrote, “I've often wondered what it is about
Christians like Douglas that unnerves me so ... Douglas and her ilk
seem to espouse a faith based on what is commonly referred to as 'The
God of Parking Spaces.'”
Jackson, founder and president of STAND (Staying True to America's
National Destiny), responds: “Progressives are indeed 'unnerved' by
devout Christians. That's why they resort to ridicule, even of a
16-year-old Olympic medal winner. Williams says we worship 'The God of
Parking Spaces,' but I would prefer Gabby's God of grace and kindness
to the leftist's god of ridicule and persecution.
“Our Heavenly Father loves us and helps those who are humble enough to
ask Him.”
Later this month when Democrats make same-sex marriage part of their
official Party Platform, the former practicing attorney says they will
be spitting in the face of every Bible-believing Christian in America:
“They will be saying, 'We don't care what you think, what you believe,
or what the Bible or the God of the Bible says. We know better than
God.'”
Jackson's message to Christians is, “The Democrat Party has turned its
back on Christians. It is time to turn our backs on the Democrat Party.” web

This ought to be real fun - if anyone has a case of racism, its the

Based on nothing but RACE!
But this ought to be a teachable moment. Covar, Shane Massey,

not. The racism that Sister Sallie, Bro Bibbs, Reverend NAACP,

they have absolutely no facts to substantiate their argument or debate
the issues. For someone who is supposed to be educated, she sure

received their report card from the state-they received a "B".
Two of the schools received an "F". One of the schools is on

Greg Anderson for those results, nor can you blame Dr. Tobin -

the ground. There was only one with those qualifications - it was
Crenshaw. She was highly qualified. After all she ran two
other districts into the ground! Guess she can't find a job so
now she wants to try and hit the lawsuit lottery. I hope when all

Blackwell. They seem to get along just fine and work well
together. I have only heard Mrs. Blackwell speak kindly of Mr.
Campbell.
Everyone knows the chairman likes meetings. Who cares? Good
things are taking place in Edgefield County, only there does seem to be
a lot of new restrictions being discussed lately. Maybe the council
just needs to slow down a little bit instead of trying to make so many
appearances around the county and take more time before putting all
these laws in to place. I was excited to hear about the land donation
on Sweetwater Road though.
Editor's note: Everything I said is true. I don't worry about
Vice-chair Blackwell, she's a professional and deals with bigger egos
than Dean's on a daily basis.
The donation of the land was great news thanks to the efforts of Mrs.
Blackwell, Linda Anderson, Merriwether Fire Chief Joey Smith and Fire
Board member Ray Johnson and most importantly the Coopers. Can't wait
to see how Dean takes credit for that in his next "Chairman's Update"
to sing his own praises about what "his administration" has
accomplished when he didn't have anything to do with it. But, she gets
things done and doesn't worry about getting credit and refuses it when
given.
That's the difference between a leader and a narcissist. web

I wonder what that will involve...a longer speech from Obama? He has
not done one thing that will deter this kind of action by these

You
know. One of these days Dorn, Reverend NAACP, Bibbs, Cooks, and
Cocaine Jackson will take the eternal dirt nap. And after they're
gone, no one will utter their name, no one will remember anything good
about them. Their legacies will be the hatred they spewed.
And most assuredly, there will not be one child that would say, "It's
sad, they did so much for me." Instead, those children will grow
up cursing them because they were given the legacy of hate, and they
too will always remain at the bottom, never seizing an opportunity to
do better.
That's a shame. To be forgotten so easily.
And if, if they even get to the pearly gates, God will ask, "What have
you done for my children that love me so?" But He will already
know the answer, and will forever assign them to the pits of
hell. Not only for denying His children an opportunity, not only
for denying His children love toward one another, but for disgracing
the the church. Calling themselves reverends, pastors, ministers,
so as to elicit some type of phony levity from the population in order
to profit from. If any of you have ever doubted God's mercy and
forgiveness - if it wasn't so, then those highly successful people like
Dorn, Reverend NAACP, Bibbs, Cooks, and Cocaine Jackson would not have
been allowed to walk the earth for as long as they have. There

finally come to an end. After gathering enough evideince against them,
they were finally raided and shut down for
good today.
I can't explain the feelings I get now looking at the pictures of all
those dogs that I had seen with my own eyes up close and personal. The
dogs that I had to leave behind everytime I was able to save just a
few. There was nothing I could do to save them all until the time was
right. I had to bide my time and get whatever dogs I could and do it
with a smile on my face. I had to turn away from all those faces locked
up in those cages and pretend it was okay to keep them that way. I
couldnt blow my cover. It was the only way to get what was needed to
save them ALL. It took time and it took patience, but most of all it
took willpower (that I did not know I possessed), to see that and then
go home with only a few and knowing I had to leave the rest to sufffer
another day.
I sit here and continue to cry with such an overwelming feeling of
relief, knowing that all these babies are in a safe and clean
enviroment for the first time in their lives. They will never have to
live in their own filth again. They will have clean water, soft beds

nothing to do with us deciding anything for them, it is deals with our
fundamental support of the nation of Israel. It is actually a very big
issue for Israel but you have to understand what is going on there in

Good for Smith. Maybe others too will see what poison the likes of
Dorn, Bibbs, Cooks, and the NAACP Reverand. It's always everyone else
against them. Or, like Reverend NAACP likes to say, "you just gives us
da crumbs." Did they ever stop and think they could get the whole loaf
if they didn't always turn everything into a racial issue? Who
wants to hire, contract, consult, or even be around people that act as
they do. Any reasonable person wouldn't want to provide them any
opportunity because they are afraid of the looming consequence. If they
did a bad job, didn't provide a quality service, or just did the bare
minimum, you couldn't scrutinize them because they would immediately
play the race card. To them, it wouldn't be because they are
incompetent, it's because of race to them. So, why give them even a
slice, let alone a loaf. Seems they have perpetuated their own lack of
success by prescribing such poison. And because they have venom in
their minds they want to teach their young to do the same, all the
while perpetuating the cycle. Moreover, such a statement about just
giving them the crumbs is very revealing in itself. They really are
seeking those positions to ingratiate and financially gain for
themselves. They're not doing it for the children or for their
people-they're doing it for themselves! After all, Cooks
initially said she wouldn't step down unless she were to receive a full
time position in the district. Since her several attempts failed, she
relegated stepping down once her replacement was "indoctrinated.". And
who is her "indoctrinated" replacement? Latoya - who is kin to
Reverand NAACP! And hasn't ole Bro Bibbs been looking for a position in
the county? Seems he has been unsuccessful too! Could you imagine
him as a Magistrate? And let's not forget Mr. Cocaine Jackson. Since
his failed bids at securing a position on the school board, he too
beats the drums of race baiting.
I pray that those in Dorn's district have finally seen the light. No
value added by his tenure of two decades, plus! Same goes for
Bibbs. Let's pray that those in Bro Bibbs district have also seen the
light and elect someone that truly does have character-Monica Mimms.

Something You May Not Know That Is Happening ... Who is
buying companies, manufacturing guns??? For the last several
years a company called The Freedom Group has been buying up gun and
ammunition manufacturers. Some of the companies are Bushmaster,
Marlin, Remington, DPMS, Dakota Arms and H&R. Some people
worry that this Freedom Group is going to control most of the firearms

you can decide to stop selling to civilians.
What a perfect way to control guns. Now if you do some digging

or quick gossip session because the parent thinks it's OK? Do you think
the children sit quietly waiting for them to leave so their teacher can
do her job? NO!! They begin talking, just like you, and playing. So
after they leave, the teacher has to take additional time to restore
ORDER! Have you been in the lunchroom while the children should be
eating lunch instead of talking? Just like you, in a crowd of
talking people, they get louder and louder so they can hear each other
over the noise. So, the teacher's and administration have to restore
ORDER! AND, they don't eat their lunch. What about when the children
walk down the halls wanting to talk, giggle and play? They draw
the attention of those in the class room, and again, the teacher has to
restore ORDER to get them back on task. Yes the car line is a

the complaints some parents were writing about Merriweather

many problems with students. I began teaching many years ago and
I absolutely loved it. The parents were supportive and stood
behind the authority/rules of the school. As the years went by I could
not help but see changes in parents that reminded me of spoiled
children. I do not teach anymore, but with the way a lot of
parents are today I would probably discourage anyone wanting to
teach. Parents, rules are there not only for protection, but for
order. Whether you agree or not with the rules you need to follow them
and encourage your children to follow them. I would love to go
down Martintown Rd. at 65 miles per hour, but I do not because it is a
law (rule). Teach your children to respect authority! When they are
teenagers you will be so glad you did. Parents, quit acting like
you are better than the rules set or that you are so 'special' you do
not have to follow them. My goodness, if car lines and you not
being able to walk in the halls or students not being able to talk at
lunch are enough to make you complain then you truly have a
problem or should I say you are the problem... be thankful your
children are healthy and able to attend a great school! I have a
feeling these parents that are complaining are just complaining people
in general. Life is too short to complain about things like this

wisely ... for things that matter! In other words ... grow up and

I agree with this statement. I was in the US Military, and
even our leaders said---"You are to follow orders as given as long as
you do not feel they are unlawful and unethical" Following every
rule without question is STUPID. If it was a rule to have to jump
off the Brooklyn Bridge would you jump. We do not

questioned. I also teach my children to think for themselves and
to not do anything that is against the law or against their
morals. On the same token, I have taught them true
history instead of what the Democratic society of our school
system would have them believe.
And as for this statement---

Why are you shocked at the hostility? These parents were just as
hostile to the last principal when we didn't feel he was doing what was
right for our children.
I am teaching my children to stand up for themselves. They should
not blindly follow rules set by others. They need to analyze
these rules to determine if the rules are ethical and lawful.
If the students were talking quietly during lunch, I would be okay with
it, but their NOT. They are having to sit silently--like little
soldiers. Do you sit silently when you eat lunch? I bet
NOT!!! I would rather my children talk during lunch than during
class time.
I am not sure keeping parents out of the hallways is keeping the
children safe. Most of the parents "hanging" around could
identify someone who didn't belong faster than the teachers could
identify them. And we are not causing disruptions. If you
cannot teach with someone in the hallway, you need to get out of
teaching. You know Marchant said he put the car line in for the
safety of the children, but riding around with a sign with your
children's names on it is DANGEROUS!
I agree parents should get their children to school on time and only
get them out early if it is necessary. Though, the policy the new
principal was trying to implement was illegal and unenforceable.
All parents should be knowledgeable of district and state policies
before they sign any school paperwork.
And for your information, my children are learning to adapt to
change. They are doing it through questioning. No one
should just accept what someone else tells them to do, they should
question the change to make sure it is the best change possible for all. web

As far as the war on women goes, what is more of a war on women than

posted September 4, 2012 Re: Looking at the
enrollment numbers from the Edgefield County School District, why are
there close to 700 children at Merriwether Elementary and roughly 400
at Merriwether Middle?????? Where are these children going when they
leave 5th grade? Do principals earn more money if their schools have
have more students?
Alright, let’s have a math lesson.
MMS has more students by percentage than MES. This isn’t rocket
science. MES serves grades preK, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th
grades (6 grade levels). MMS serves 6th, 7th, and 8th grades (3
grade levels).
MES has a population of 676 students. Divide this by 6 grade levels it
gives you 113 students/ grade level. Before you say it, I
understand that some grades have more students than others. This
is called an average. MMS has a population of 386 students.
Divide this by 3 grade levels it gives you 129 students/ grade level.
MMS has more students per grade level than MES. This has nothing
to do with Murphys Village as this makeup doesn’t make that much of an
impact.
NOW---let’s look at the Johnston/Edgefield area. JET Middle
School has a total of 504 students. They also serve 6th, 7th, and
8th grades. That is roughly 168 students/ grade. They have
3 elementary schools that feed them, not just one. JES, WEParker,
and DES have a combined total of 1104 students. They all serve
preK, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades (6 grade levels). If you
take the 1104 students (all 3 elementary schools that feed into JET)
and divide it by 6 grade levels, you get 184. If you take a grade level
coming from the elementary schools and multiply it by 3 grade levels
(from the levels JET serves (6, 7, and 8th grade), you get 552 which
JET is actually losing students, not the Merriwether area. Most
parents in that area of the county will not send their kids to
JET. JET has pool of 428 more students in the area than
MMS. MES-706/ JES-Parker-DES- 1104
So, let’s recap. MMS has one elementary school that feeds into
it. JET has THREE middle schools that feed into it. MMS
serves more students based on the student population from one
elementary school than JET does at three. By percentage, MMS has
more students per grade level from what serves them than any other
middle/elementary school in the district.
It really is simple math.
So the question is, why are all the Johnston, Edgefield, and Trenton
students leaving the district after elementary school? As far as
if principals earn more, I am not sure of that. I know that other
counties pay based off of student population.

school. web
posted September 4, 2012 RE: Where
are these children going when they leave 5th grade?
Merriwether Elementary has seven grade levels (K3 through 5th grade)
with about 100 students in each grade level. Hence, the 700
students enrolled at MES.
Merriwether Middle has three grade levels (6 through 8) with about 100
students in each grade level. Hence, the 400 students enrolled at
MMS.
There are very few students leaving either school including the Murphy
Village students. Most of Murphy Village in located in Aiken
County, so they must attend elementary and middle schools located in
North Augusta.
Actually, the overall enrollment numbers for Edgefield County schools
have been decreasing for the last 5 years. Very few people with
school age children have been moving into Edgefield County. If
you look at Edgefield County's age demographics, most residents are
past the age of having school age children.
Administrator's pay does depend on the number of students enrolled at

Differences between MMS and MES
MES has a 4K class, Kindergarden, 1-5 grades. So, in
that one building you have seven different age groups of kids. At
MMS you have 6-8 grades or three different age groups of kids.
Naturally when you have twice as many garde levels (MES) you are going
to have twice as many kids as the middle school. The Editor is
also correct with Murphy Village kids but that only accounts for a
small fraction. web

valuable lessons as:
- Knowing when to come in out of the rain;
- Why the early bird gets the worm;
- Life isn't always fair;
- And maybe it was my fault.
Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend
more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children,
are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when
well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports
of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a
classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch;
and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened
his condition. Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers
for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining
their unruly children.
It declined even further when schools were required to get parental
consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could
not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an
abortion.
Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses;
and criminals received better treatment than their victims.
Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a
burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.
Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to
realise that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in
her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was
preceded in death,
-by his parents, Truth and Trust,
-by his wife, Discretion,
-by his daughter, Responsibility,
-and by his son, Reason.
He is survived by his 5 stepbrothers;

SUV and am driving a 1000.00 car that gets decent gas mileage. Who are
you to judge me? just because I am forced to ask for help does not mean
I am not worthy of buying real food. I am a person, if I want a twinkie
for my lunch, then i will buy it. You try to run a household with
three in college on 600.00 a month. If I want to purchase
that steak that is marked down, i will. I can use it for several
things. If I chose to use coupons and save some money from the previous
month so I can have a special dinner for my sons birthday, then I will.
that person you are blindly judging has a story, we are not all lazy
bums. Most of all we are Humans, not some animal. last I looked,
we will still live in a republic not a socialist state ( for now at
least) until that time changes, then I reserve the right to
purchase real food for my family. web
posted September 3, 2012 Looking at the
enrollment numbers from the Edgefield County School District, why are
there close to 700 children at Merriwether Elementary and roughly 400
at Merriwether Middle?????? Where are these children going when
they leave 5th grade? Do principals earn more money if their schools
have have more students?
Editor's note: I do not have any facts to back this up, but most
children from Murphy Village do not go to school beyond Elementary
School. That could play a large roll in the decrease in numbers. web

It's not the heart of keeping employees. Its the way these employees
were walked out. Yes, businesses are run by numbers and they should be.
The past administration cannot still be blamed for the state of
the federation now. The point is that you have one of the largest
businesses in our county and the reductions are never reported on.
Hopefully Mitt Romney will get in office and do away with all of the
earmarks that keep so many of these worthless businesses open. Tax
money would do better to go to worthy charitable organizations, such as
hospitals and schools! web
posted September 3, 2012 what is going on
with our state colleges and universities? forst out state TECHNICAL
colleges are no longer accepting the GED for admission. I
did not realize their standards are as lofty as Harvard. I
thought that was one of the reasons for our technical schools. this is
ridiculous. it does not affect me or my family but its a stupid rule.
you now need a 3.0 to be accepted into some programs at our technical
schools,. again why are we keeping people who are Passing from
accomplishing their goals and dreams, I remember the saying 2.0 and go.
My biggest complaint is WHY on earth is USC building a college
welcome center on King street in Charleston. how is this a good use of
our tax payer dollars? whose pet project is this? tuition has increased
over 25% in 5 years and we are paying for a welcome center in one of
the priciest addresses in the state. WHY? so glad they are
looking out for the little guy. web
posted September 3, 2012 I am shocked by
the hostility being shown to the new principle of Merriweather
Elementary School. These parents are teaching their children to fight
the rules not follow. Yes there are times when rules need to be changed
for the better but school has been in only a few weeks. The rules being
imposed are for the safety and well being of all the children. Parents
think about what do the rules do before you complain. Talking softy at
lunch will teach your child self control, keeping parents out of the
hallways will protect your child from strangers and keeps the
distractions down so school can start on time. Requiring a written note
for child pick up will keep your child safe.
Getting you child to school on time will help the teacher spend as much
time as possible teaching your child. By picking your child up early
you are denying your child the lesson being taught and disrupting the
class.
Children have enough stress with out you creating more because you
cannot adapt to change. Teaching a child to adapt is a very import
lesson your child should learn from you if you want your child to grow
as a person. If you don’t like to follow the rules try putting
your child in a private school or home school. But teaching your child
to throw a temper tantrum when he/she doesn't like something is no
going to take them far in life. Parents if your OCD is controlling your
life it is time to start medications and leave running the school to
the principal. web

posted September 3, 2012 I am tired of
riding by Strom Thurmond High School and JET Middle School and seeing
how nice they look on the outside. The paint looks real nice from the
front. Then I drop my child off at Parker and there is paint peeling
from the top and down spout drains. The only thing that looks nice on
the exterior is the front entrance. The rest is an embarrassment. I
wish the School Board would ride around and look at the quality of
maintenance of the exterior and even the interior of each and every
school. It's a disgrace. There needs to be a maintenance plan for each
and every school. PTO should not have to pay for maintenance needs for
each school. Where is the maintenance plan and budget from the district
for each school? Can we know the plan for our schools? web

at Obama and what would happen if he's re-elected. He will see to it we

posted September 1, 2012 NWTF.....
You don't run a successful business with your heart and in tough
economic times like these, tough choices have to be made. Sure,
the NWTF could have kept all the employees who were let go and in
another two years, the 90 or so workers left here in Edgefield would
also be looking for new jobs.
Know this for FACT. The NWTF is paying for the sins of the former
management. So much so that if they hadn't been removed, the NWTF would
have already been shut down. It's amazing to me that you never
hear anything about the NWTF until someone loses a job. We never
hear about all the amazing things this organization does for our
community throughout the year or the fact that it still employees
almost 100 workers locally.
Seldom do we ever want to see our coworkers terminated or let go,
however I for one am thankful that we have a management team in place
that isn't afraid to make tough decisions.
Editor's note: Vote for Obama and watch even more lose their jobs. web
posted September 1, 2012 When the Democrats
say the Republicans have a war on women, I have to scratch my head in
wonder. When you look at the female leadership in the Republican party
it is amazing to me. The women that spoke at the convention are strong
leaders and are the kind of women I want representing me. I don't agree
with all of them on everything, but they are on the front lines,
fighting for this country. I loved hearing these quality, well spoken,
strong women speak about this country and their hopes for this country!
If Stephanie Cutter, Janet Napolitano and some of the other Democratic
women are examples of their best then we have an issue. Stephanie
Cutter has been caught in a number of lies and anyone who would believe
anything she says, must not be very discerning. I will put the
Republican women up against the Democratic women any day.
Listening to Ann Romney this morning just made this clearer to me. She
was told the Obamas chose not to watch any of the RNC and she was asked
if she would watch the DNC. She said she would because she wants
to hear what the President has to say and she would like to hear
Michelle. Who is the bigger person in this scenario? To me, the Obamas
were either afraid to listen or they don't take the Republicans
seriously. It is childish and arrogant to say they didn't watch the
RNC. You can bet if they didn't watch it, they got a blow by blow
account of all of it. Come on. If you can't show your opponent a common
respect, it says a lot about you as person.
There is no war on women. It is just one more attempt to divide this
country. I like the positive message of the Republicans and I am tired
of being dragged through the mud by the Democrats. Who wants to live in
a mudhole? web

when those employed in law enforcement break the rules such as Robbie
