RE: The poster who was upset over the
mishandling of the flag
Daily at school I see students who will not be silent during the Moment
of Silence, who will not pledge to the flag, who call each other
derogatory and often vulgar names, who have no manners and go up and
down the halls yelling "Shut up" (or, more often, "Shet up"). Polite
behavior is not the usual behavior now. Parents need to do their jobs
and teach their children that morals and manners still have a place in
the world.

As everyone knows, the election for school
board members might be the most important election we have ever had in
this county. We are at a crossroads and it is important that we
get good people on the school board. It is with this background
that I strongly recommend that everyone vote for Bridget Clark.
Bridget knows our school system from both the teacher perspective as
well as the view from the administration. Because of her
experience, she knows what it takes to make a school program run
successfully. It is not often that we have the opportunity to
vote for someone that has all of the qualifications that Bridget
has. I know firsthand that Bridget loves our school children and
will do everything possible to make sure that each and every one of
them receives the best education possible.
I am not saying anything is wrong with Bridget’s opponents.
However, the combination of Bridget’s qualifications and her passion
for our school district make her the best possible candidate.
This election is very important. If you do not vote for any other
office, please make sure you vote for Bridget Clark for the school
board. Electing Bridget to the school board is absolutely the
right thing to do and will be a step in the right direction in making
our schools better. Please vote for Bridget Clark on November 2.

I checked out the video on
how to write-in Byron Robinson because I've never done that before.
I just wondered if anyone noticed that every final vote on the "how to
vote" video always shows a Democrat candidate being the one chosen.
Even when a vote is needed to be changed it is always from a Republican
to a Democrat.I find that very biased and misleading and I don't think
it's something the election people should be promoting in its video. It
was an obvious ploy to make people think that the right candidate to
vote for was always the Democrat. They could have done this with no
party even mentioned for a "sample" on how to vote. Why are MY tax
dollars going to teach people to vote for Democrats?

On August 28, 1963. In Washington, D.C.,
Martin Luther King made this statement, "I have a dream that my four
children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by
the color of their skin but by the content of their character."
On election day here in Edgefield County we will have a chance to live
out this dream of his. The people have a choice to vote for
someone thay may judge by the color of his skin or by the content of
his character. We will see how many vote for the color of their
skin by how many votes are cast for the Jackson canidate in the school
board election. Will you honor the memory of Martin Luther King,
or tramp it in the mud?

And does it surprise you there are
Edgefield county voters who will vote for Cocaine Jackson? This county
is racially split and most (not all) black voters will vote for a black
candidate regardless of his or her morality to include criminal
background. Thus enters Cocaine Jackson and his fine supporters, Sister
Sallie, Professor Bibbs(Phd in Dip-stick-ology), and the
Jackass-sisters. Unfortunately these characters have accomplished so
little with so much and risen to their highest level of incompetentency
thanks to their ignorant voting base. This is a sad epitaph for our
county which has been held hostage by these buffoons since Brother
Bill-Obama-Clyburn and Prof Bibbs redistricted the voting districts.
Most (not all) of the voters in these districts regard Cocaine
Jackson....as a quality candidate. And will Cocaine Jackson be
prosecuted for voter fraud and suspended driver's license? The Mo-Town
Fo should all be shown the do(door) due to their complicity helping
Cocaine-man commit fraud. Will justice prevail or Edgefield county
continue to be held hostage? Time for ethical and moral change within
our School Board.

Black Republicans Demand Obama 'Bus'
Apology
Black Republican leaders are demanding that President Barack Obama
apologize for what they consider a racially insensitive remark that he
made on the campaign trail this weekend.
During a campaign swing the president said, "We don't mind the
Republicans joining us. They can come for a ride, but they gotta sit in
back."
Dr. Timothy F. Johnson, the black Republican who heads the National
Black Republican Association, told Newsmax in an e-mail Wednesday that
Obama should immediately apologize for the offensive reference to the
Jim Crow era. "Once again the president is perpetuating the racism that
exists, and [is] portrayed by the so-called Civil Rights organizations
and their leaders," Johnson stated.
"Americans are sick and tired of these divisive statements the
president continues to make," he added. "Our first objective is
November 2, 2010. "Next is to find the next president of the United
States, and retire President Obama to Chicago, Hawaii, or Kenya in Nov.
2012," stated Johnson.

November 2, 2010 is your last chance to do
something to change the direction in which Our Country is going. Which
is down the tubes. Obama and his followers are worried. Obama has quit
playing golf long enough to go out and help the people he can control
or pay off. I am referring to people he has in the Senate and in
Congress.
The people out there that are still living in a dream world and think
Obama is going to do anything to help you well I hope by now you are
realizing that all his promises are a joke. What has he giving you?
Loss of jobs, loss of home, Obamacare, the list is just to long. I
think you can do the math.
Two things I would like to tell you just in case you are not aware of
them.
1. My mother is 85 years old, handicap with one leg. She has Medicare
and Tricare, but do you know she can't get into see a private Doctor
unless she already has a private Doctor. Doctors are not taking new
patients that are on Medicare, Medicaid or Tricare (which is military
insurance). Do you know why it is because of Obamacare. The goverment
will not release the funds to the doctors. She lives in Florida and I
live in South Carolina, she comes to stay with me two or three months
at a time. I can't get a doctor to see her, I have to take her to the
emergency room. So if you have someone in your life that is elderly I
hope they already have a primary care doctor, if you are new on
disability or social security the goverment is not going to pay for you
to have a primary care doctor. Obama says well their old just let them
die. Is this the way we were raised in the United States to turn our
backs on the elderly. Well I wasn't and I will vote on November 2nd.
2.Did you know that Obama is trying to keep our Military troops that
are fighting overseas from voting in the Noverber 2nd election. He is
trying to keep their votes out of the United States until way after the
election. Because he knows that they will tip the scales against him.
Look it up if you don't believe me.

forgot to mention that, huh? Your precious "law" preventing me

congress their COLA every year, regardless of the CPI. Not to
mention the same self-serving law that gives them a different health
insurance and a great retirement, which is their salary, when they
leave office and their spouse gets to keep it when they die. And they
continue to get their COLA every year, even in retirement.
Different "laws" for the elite vs. the "little" folks, right?

The Founders told us in the Preamble to
the Declaration of Independence that "government derives their just
powers from the consent of the governed" and "whenever any form
of government becomes destructive" of protecting our Creator-endowed
liberties, "it is the right of the people to alter or abolish
it."
John F. Kennedy, who I as a die-hard Republican voted for by the way,
once held a dinner in the white House for a group of the brightest
minds in the nation at that time. He made this statement: "This
is perhaps the assembly of the most intelligence ever to gather at one
time in the White House, with the exception of when Thomas Jefferson
dined alone."
Thomas Jefferson once said, "We in America do not have a government by
the majority. We have a government by the majority who
participate."
We now have an opportunity on Nov. 2, 2010 to begin to take out the
"trash" in Washington, DC. Make your voice heard.

This is such a joke. I just don’t understand how some people can
be so simple minded. Everyone knows the Crims live on Columbia
Rd. in Edgefield. If you don’t have any dirt on someone, make
some up. This is the way of politics in Edgefield and the
country. Very Sad. Michael is a very good man
with the only purpose in mind in running is helping the county, school
board and especially our kids. As for the earlier post about Mrs.
Crim’s lawsuit against the school district, she isn’t the first person
to be treated unfairly by the school district and I’m sure she
won’t be the last considering our bias HR policies in
the school district. Let the court decide as they have in the
past. The school board will hire their independent lawyers to
defend them once again. Once again our kids lose. The cycle
continues. The only way to stop the cycle is to get
out and vote. Please. I don’t live in District 2 but I will
be voting in my district for Carroll Wates. I
am tired of the cycle continuing. We can make a
difference. Thank you to all the candidates for trying to
make a difference. It is up to us now. Vote on November 2nd.

RE: "Are Schools Killing
Our Constitutional Republic on Purpose?"
and this Wandering Minds Post
"I have sit in the Johnston Elementary school driveway to pick up my
son almost every school day for two and a half years and I must get
something off my chest before I explode! I understand why our children
are so confused and lack the patriotism....." dove tail completely.
Look at what we have in charge of our Country now. A socialist
with an agenda to destroy this Country as we know it. Their
intentions are to significantly erode the moral and ideological fabric
of this nation, so as to create a voting class of reliance oriented
followers. They shred our constitution, they ignore the rule of
law, they have diluted the education system, reducing it to nothing but
a PC daycare facility and breeding grounds for uneducated thugs,
thieves, and handout recipients. Little do those fools know, that
first, if the socialist agenda was to ever succeed in this country,
they would be the first to be removed from power. A tyrannical
government would purge itself, just like they always do, of those in
the know, those that have the inside "State" secrets enough to over
throw those in power. And second, Americans would not stand for
this, there would be a tipping point and Americans would not go
quietly. This is what Nov 2, 2010 is all about. A
revolution, American style, peaceful, but forceful. But from a
people who love peace and liberty, and avert any attempt at engaging
their enemies using force unless backed into a corner. Look at
our history, of which they teach little of-Pearl Harbor got us into
WWII, 911 got us what we're into now. Both major wars that we had
to be drug into when the enemy decided to sucker punch us. And
now, Nov 2, we are going to war again, because all of these years past,
we have finally seen that we have been sucker punched by all
politicians at every level. It is truly time to clean house, kick
(butt) and take no prisoners. We need to clean this mess up once
and for all AND AT EVERY LEVEL-school board and county council seats
included.
Think about it. We've been here before. The tactics of an
insurgency is to undermine the peoples faith and confidence in their
own government to a point that chaos will insue and they will fall from
within. In the 60's and 70's they gut punched us. They
assassinated our President (JFK); they imbued our society in a drug
induced stupor; they took down a President (Nixon); and they desecrated
our national pride with the propaganda of failure in Viet Nam, even
though we kicked their (butt) militarily. Then they gave us
Carter, who was to destroy the economic fabric. We were on our
knees. Our morale was low. Our faith in our own government
at an all time low. They had us. Then came Reagan. A
leader that restored national pride, American greatness, military
strength through peace. Why do you think they hated him so
much? Not only did he give our nation faith, he gave the Polish
faith, him along with Pope John Paul resulting in the dissolution of
the Soviet Empire. And the rest is history-of which they don't
teach. We will be given another Reagan, and that's what they are
afraid of now. You see, they don't teach history of
Americanism for a reason. If you don't know it, you will repeat
it. That's what they are betting on with our future
generations. Albeit, the fail to understand that this truly is
the greatest country on earth and has the greatest system on
earth. It is self-cleansing without spilling a drop of blood.

understand why our children are so confused and lack the patriotism
that was taught to me twenty plus years ago. I remember when the
American flag was respected and it was taught to me why it was handled
in a
certain way when being raised and lowered. I see a man everyday come
out of the school around 1:30 and lower the flag. The problem I have is
he just jerks on the rope and the flag comes flying down going
everywhere and when it gets down he wraps it around his waist and then
while he is unhooking it the flag drags the ground and then rolls it up
or folds it like a towel! What happened to our school system?!! They
are not being TAUGHT! After reading some of the school board candidates
problems and what they are involved in this should not surprise me! Why
cant Principle Lee recognize some of the great students there at the
school and let them raise and lower the flag in the PROPER way? We all
know
there is a proper way to fold the flag right? Then why is this guy
doing it now not respecting it? LEADERSHIP.....thats why!!!!!!!! I have
four children...one in college....two graduating high school this year
and one in elementary school. Three of them have grown up and
understand what it means to
live in this country of ours and what people in our military have done
to protect it. If the flag is not respected or handled properly I would
just assume they not raise it at all!

The American Minute.
On OCTOBER 26, 1774, the Provincial Congress of Massachusetts
reorganized their defenses with one-third of their regiments being
"Minutemen," ready to fight at a minute's notice. These citizen
soldiers drilled on the parade ground, many times led by a deacon or
pastor, then went to church for exhortation and prayer. The Provincial
Congress charged: "You...are placed by Providence in the post of honor,
because it is the post of danger...The eyes not only of North America
and the whole British Empire, but of all Europe, are upon you. Let us
be, therefore, altogether solicitous that no disorderly behavior,
nothing unbecoming our character as Americans, as citizens and
Christians, be justly chargeable to us." The Provincial Congress issued
a Resolution to Massachusetts Bay, 1774: "Resistance to tyranny becomes
the Christian and social duty of each individual...Continue steadfast,

RE: " Why would a school board member

low for our school board if you ask me."
That's really not a new low, one can't get much lower. They call
themselves Christians and they always say it's "for the
children." With the latest endorsement of Nate, Mary Alice has
only confirmed what was known all along-nothing they do is for the
betterment of the schools, children, or community. As it has
always been said, its for them. They seized control of the Board
and the District with Bibbs' chicanery and back door delivery of the
re-redistricting map. They can't win on merit-they have to
corrupt everything. So, now when they see they are losing their
grip on power, they are doing everything they can to maintain
control. In their eyes, having a convicted drug dealer really
isn't any worse than their lying, cheating, and stealing. Yeah a
real bunch of mentors our children can look up to-a drug dealer and
thieves. It's for the children alright.
And remember, the school system is how they spread the wealth
around. It would be interesting to see who received the HVAC
contracts IF Nate was elected. Nate's brother owns and operates a
heating and air conditioning business. Nate could funnel business
his way, shovel some money back to Nate under the table so the IRS
doesn't collect on the $76K he owes, and ole Nate would be fat, dumb,
and happy. Heck, who knows. Maybe Nate could get Courtney's
company to renovate the shack in Johnsotn, so the next time he was up
for re-election, he really could be living in a nice pad.

The Haircut
One day a florist went to a barber for a haircut. After the cut,
he asked about his bill, and the barber replied, 'I cannot accept money
from you, I'm doing community service this week.' The florist was
pleased and left the shop. When the barber went to open his shop the
next morning, there was a 'thank you' card and a dozen roses waiting
for him at his door.
Later, a cop comes in for a haircut, and when he tries to pay his bill,
the barber again replied, 'I cannot accept money from you , I'm doing
community service this week.' The cop was happy and left the shop. The
next morning when the barber went to open up, there was a 'thank you'
card and a dozen donuts waiting for him at his door.
Then a Congressman came in for a haircut, an when he went to pay his
bill, the barber again replied, 'I can not accept money from you. I'm
doing community service this week.' The Congressman was very happy and
left the shop. The next morning, when the barber went to open up, there
were a dozen Congressmen lined up waiting for a free haircut.
And that, my friends, illustrates the fundamental difference between
the citizens of our country and the politicians who run it.
BOTH POLITICIANS AND DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME

I am curious , I see that the Sandy Oak
Rodeo is in full swing for this weekend, however based on your October 20
article it is unknown if the
county will supply EMS services. In the pass it has been that the
EMT workers have volunteered but used a county ambulance to cover the
event. (The ambulance cost taxpayer even if the EMT’s don’t) Is
the county going to provide ambulance coverage to every private/public
event? If so how are they going to do that with 4
ambulances? I think that the council was a little premature
in addressing the bigger issue of Edgefield not having the resources to
provide every event in Edgefield ambulance coverage. It is not
having a policy that addresses the needs, of high school, little
league, festivals, and rodeos that puts the public at risk of not
having emergency service available, because they are requested for
local events. It is a cost to the tax payer, and as usual we shoot the
messenger before we find out what the messenger was trying to tell us.
I hope that Sandy Oak Rodeo is successful for the owners, however under
IPRA rule #31.”The sponsoring committee will furnish an attended
first-aid auto or ambulance and EMT crew or paramedics to be on the
grounds during the performance and during competition preceding and
following each performance to properly take care of injured
contestants. It is highly recommended that a doctor also be on the
grounds.” Therefore if the county doesn’t have volunteer EMT’s
and a county ambulance are they going provide the service for
FREE? I would think that it is incumbent on the organizers of
this event to arrange for payment of these services because it appears
that it is a for profit event according to the rodeo website and the
IPRA site, but without a county POLICY it’s another 3 ring circus with
a rodeo!
Editor's note: According to the motion made and passed, the rodeo will
pay for the EMT's and the cost of the ambulance. If the EMT's volunteer
their time, that cost will be removed as it has been in the past.
Residents should be happy. The rodeo is paying to have three ambulances
on duty during that time rather than two covering the entire 507 sq.
miles of Edgefield County. One wreck took both
county
ambulances
out
of
service just after noon Monday.
If any other call had gone out look for a third out call for EMS
(delayed response) or hope it was close enough for Merriwether First
Responders to be called (the only available in the county) . We have
big problems in this county, and it is not a rodeo. It is the county
government providing the needed services over the desire for wanted
services such as recreation and the cost of aquiring property we do not
need.

Second, he was asked for a driver's license during the hearing, by the

though the driver's license could be valid, and could have the Johnston

connected. Also, apparently a tree limb took out the power service line
last week, so SCE&G removed the service line to the building.

Additionally, he can run, but he can't hide-he has been found and is

And lastly, it looks like everyone is fired up with all of the Nov 2

If you want to change this country, we've got to start at the local
level, schools included! Go vote, and if you have a neighbor or a
friend that can't drive, or needs a ride, a) get to know your neighbor,
and b) give them a helping hand to get to the polls and vote. AND
DO NOT FORGET-the school board positions are not party affiliated-YOU
HAVE TO MAKE A CONCERTED EFFORT to vote for a school board
member. Voting a straight ticket DOES NOT cast a vote for a
school board member.
And those of you in Viola Jackson's district-vote her out. She
can't certify to be a SC Teacher, why should she be making policy that
affects our Children? She agreed with Sister Sallie that the
school board shouldn't have a budget. She supports Nathaniel
Jackson while knowing of his illustrious career. She voted to give
Crenshaw signature authority over travel vouchers-can anyone say cash
cow? She opposed Chris Hoffman's decline to receive pay for
SERVING the community. She lied to the public about having paid
for a trip to HH, SC out of her own pocket, til she got caught.
She votes racial lines-not what is in the best interest of our
children, but what's in the best interest of hers.
If you want more of the same, from Viola Jackson to Obama, this is what
you will get when you don't remake the school board. If there is
anyone running for the Edgefield County School Board, and their name is
JACKSON - vote them out!
Nathaniel Jackson is just a distraction, the real prize is getting rid

routine. You may have heard this trick called the good cop/bad cop
strategy. It's the same thing.
To show you how it works, let me give you an example. Rep. Jim
Marshall, a Georgia Democrat, is in a tough re-election campaign. He
now publicly declares, Pelosi was never MY choice for speaker!
He's even running ads knocking San Francisco Democrat Pelosi and
claiming that he mostly votes with the Republicans. To hear
Marshall and his colleagues talk, you'd think they're not at all like
Pelosi, no sir!
But there's only one problem: They're lying.
You see, Marshall and his colleagues actually voted for Pelosi as House
Speaker. What's more, they voted for Pelosi's $787 billion stimulus
program, Obamacare, the Wall Street bailout, and the rest of Obama's
big-government agenda.
To save their seats in Congress, Marshall and the other vulnerable
Democrats need to run from their records and publicly distance
themselves from Pelosi and Obama. If they succeed, they'll re-elect
Pelosi as House speaker. What does Pelosi have to say about the
Democrats who are pretending to bash her? She says, I just want them to
win. Of course! She's in collusion with the Pelosi bashers. To add to
the game play, The Hill newspaper reports Nancy Pelosi is saying she
won't run for speaker again.
Don't believe a word she and her Democratic colleagues say!
Shouldn't the phony Pelosi Democrats be exposed? Yes!

Nate Jackson-what a wonderful shining
example of what the system has done for the poor old down
troddin. Let's see why he would be a great representation to the
community and to our children.
1) He's a convicted felon, having served time in federal prison.
2) He was a cocaine trafficker.
3) He's a failed business person-the IRS shut down his tax
preparation business.
4) He's a deadbeat. During his last election run at the school
board, he amassed over $17,000 in fines because he did not follow the
election rules. He convinced the ethics commission to reduce the fines
stating he did not receive the certified letter (probably because they
sent the letter to 420 Railroad Avenue, and since he wasn't living
there, he was right, he never received the letter.) They reduced
his fines to $2000, of which, after having begged for mercy, he still
hasn't paid.
5) He's a deadbeat. The water to the residence he claims to
reside at was turned off on November 30th, 2009, after he did not pay a
$148 water bill. The water company put his $100 deposit toward
paying the bill, and sent the $48 over to collections. They never
were able to collect the $48 dollars, so the water company had to eat
it. And to this day he has had no water/sewer service at the
residence he claims to reside, which is 420 Railroad Avenue.
6) How do you reside in a house that has no power, no running
water, and obviously no sewer?
And now, he has further engaged himself in perpetrating a fraud by
signing a legal document attesting to the fact that he is a legal
resident and registered voter of the district he wishes to run for
office. That sounds a bit like perjury and elections fraud.
And this is who you want to represent you and your children on the
school board? And this is who you want to affect policy and
procedure in our schools? Black or white, this is surely not a
role model, unless of course you want your children educated in the
fine art of thuggery.
Question is, the school board, and yes the usual scoundrels-Jackson,
Jackson, Bibbs and Cook, and the Superintendent, Crenshaw, have they
not availed themselves of this information??? And they endorse Nate
Jackson????? Are they not aiding and abetting the fraudulent
activity of Nate????

a terrible obamanation.
The disease is contracted through dangerous and high risk behavior
involving putting your cranium up your rectum. Many victims
contracted it in 2008 ... but now most people, after having been
infected for the past 1-2 years, are starting to realize how
destructive this sickness is.
It's sad because Gonorrhea Lectim is easily cured with a new drug just
coming on the market called Votemout. You take the first dose in
2010 and the second dose in 2012 and simply don't engage in such
behavior again; otherwise, it could become permanent and eventually
wipe out all life as we know it.
Several states are already on top of this, like Virginia and New

On September 27-28 members of 34 countries attended the Boston

eyed Obama worshippers.
William Malzahn attended the meeting representing the U.S. Obama
nominated Malzahn as U.S. Ambassador to the UN. He is one of the many
staunch gun control proponents Obama has strong-armed into the UN Arms
Trade Treaty negotiations.
The UN wants to make all firearms subject to international law. The
Arms Trade Treaty could:
a.. Prohibit firearm and ammunition manufacturers from selling
to the public.
b.. Prohibit any transfer of firearm ownership.
c.. Require US citizens to deliver any banned firearms they own
to the local government collection and destruction center or face
imprisonment.
d.. Require micro-stamping on all guns.
e.. Destruction of "excess" firearms.
The elitists made sure their schedule at the conference wasn't all work
and no play. During the day, the liberal loons plotted new strategies
to fast track the treaty. In the evening, the anti-gunners were treated
to heaping towers of gourmet appetizers and designer cocktails. Being a
gun hater certainly has some nice perks.

that they often talk a good game. It is their actions that are the

wrong doing, that he does himself. You can say you are a friend of
small business but if you continue to kill any hope for small
businesses to succeed you are not their friend. People that see beyond
the hype, and actually read the bills etc. see that this
administration is destroying this country. People that are supporting
the healthcare bill and who claim it is better for families,
retirees etc., must have their heads in the sand. The reality is that
as this monster is being put in place, companies are threatening
to cancel coverage, companies are charging their employees more, Secure
Horizons has canceled policies in some areas, doctors are dropping

Madoff did to his investors with his ponzi
scheme what the government has been doing to us for over 70 years with
Social Security. There is no meaningful difference between the
two schemes, except that one was operated by a private individual who
is now in jail, and the other is operated by politicians who enjoy
perks, privileges and status in spite of their actions.
Do you need a side-by-side comparison here? Well here's a
nifty little chart.
BERNIE MADOFF
SOCIAL SECURITY
Takes money from investors with the promise that the money will be
invested and made available to them later.
Takes money from wage earners with the promise that the money will be
invested in a "Trust Fund" and made available later.
Instead of investing the money Madoff spends it on nice homes in the
Hamptons and yachts.
Instead of depositing money in a Trust Fund the politicians use it for
general spending and vote buying.
When the time comes to pay the investors back Madoff simply uses some
of the new funds from newer investors to pay back the older investors.
When benefits for older investors become due the politicians pay them
with money taken from younger and newer wage earners to pay the
geezers.
When Madoff's scheme is discovered all hell breaks loose. New investors
won't give him any more cash.
When Social Security runs out of money they simply force the taxpayers
to send them some more.
Bernie Madoff is in jail.
Politicians remain in Washington.

Obama supporters need to remember it was
the white vote that put Obama into an office for which he is least
qualified, but it happened never the less. Rabid Obama supporters use
the race card every time criticism is made against their man,
especially if it is from white people. It was the white voters who
looked past race and put their faith into a man who spouted Hope and
Change. The change this country has realized is not what many racially
supportive voters bargained for. Ninety percent of black Americans
support Obama and will continue their support considering their man is
a pro-communist/socialist, destroying jobs throughout America, running
businesses overseas, imposing unpopular mandatory health care,
increasing taxes, talking bad about America to the world and so on.
Forget arguing Obama's many short comings and expect Black Americans to
see that their man is bad for this country. Race is all that matters to
most black voters. So much for
Obama's post racial healing as he promised. Obama has done more
harm in dividing this country into racial and social classes than any
president this century. And please don't blame America's high
inflation, job losses, lack of border protection and stagnant housing
market on George Bush. The next time you race baiters play the race
card, remember that most Americans could care less about Obama's racial

largely set in place while Bush was in the White House. The 2009
fiscal year began October 1, 2008, nearly four months before Obama took
office. There is one rather important detail that makes a big
difference. Most economy charts are based on the assumption that
the current administration should be blamed for the 2009 fiscal year.
While this makes sense to a casual observer, it is largely
untrue. Factually, Obama only added 140 billion to a 3.4 trillion
deficit. Please read: http://www.cato.org/pub_display.php?pub_id=11094.
Editor's note: Put down the Kool-Aid, step back from the computer, and
take a look at the reality.
Obama has created a trillion dollars in debt on the now admitted failed
"stimulus". His Democrat takeover of health care will cost an estimated
$2.4 trillion. To bolster his failed Marxist policy, he and the
Democrats want more spending (that means the taking of your hard earned
money) to fund unions, government programs, and pay-offs to special
interests groups like the NAE, SEIU, and UAW who he made sure got
unlawful protections during the takeover of GM and Chrysler.
His buddies at AIG got million dollar payoffs under the programs.
Yeah... Obama is there of the "little guy".
Only the uneducated fools believe the crap this administration is
pumping through his aids in the national media.

RE: " Defending our President without
using race is very easy. He can stand on his record."
You're right! He can stand on his record-with both feet! And
that's about all he can do. Funny, they have promised you racial
equality using a system of affirmative action, or racial
equality. They have promised you equality giving you a govt
check, food stamps, public housing, and whatever.
Yes, they have given you equality alright. And here you are, a
shining example of the great education they have given you along with
all of the other goodies they have given you. Wake UP!
They've given you all that so they can keep you down! While
you're still struggling, they lavish themselves with the same old
racist rhetoric. Yet look at it. You get a measly check
from the govt, you get food stamps, you get govt housing, and you got
all of those wonderful school programs to help you get ahead-and guess
what? You're no further ahead then your parents, your
grandparents, your great grandparents. However, those race
baiting self promoters, a hemmmmmmm, REVEREND Jesse Jackson, REVEREND
Al Sharpton, Congreesman James Clyburn, and lets even go local, Sallie
Cooks, Viola Jackson, James Bibbs, and don't forget that $130,000 a
year Superintendent, and your wonderful President Obama and his darling
wife.
Yup, they've done so much for you. You're still where you're at,
but they are living the life of luxury because they used you!
They used your people. They used their own people, to play the
race card, to shake down those dirty nasty whites. Yup, you have
greatly benefited from the struggle haven't you? It's an absolute
crying shame. And yet, you still buy it. Somewhat like a
battered wife-she just can't leave the abuser because she's too blinded
by the love. And you? You're blinded by the love, the love
of racism. How is it that others from around the world can come
with nothing more than a shirt on their back and make it-yet you, who
waits for the next hand out, stay down trodden? If I give you a
fish, you'll eat for a day. If I teach you to fish, you'll eat
for a lifetime. Learn how to fish. Better yet, wake your
brethren up, and all of you learn to fish! Throw those racist
political hacks overboard, black AND white!!!!!!!
When's the last time you ate a good steak? And your dear
President and wife feast on $100 per lb. steak on a routine
basis. Guess you're proud, THEY got to eat $100/lb steak, but
where's yours? Boy they showed those white folks. They can
have steak too-but you, what are you eating? Guess what-I'm
having steak for the third time this week. You know why?
Because I never had a steak when I was a kid-we were too (darn)
poor! But I have busted my (rear) to make sure my kids know what
steak tastes like. And when they grow up, they'll know just how
good it tastes and bust thier (rears) as well.

Defending our President without using race is very easy. He can
stand on his record. He has accomplished a lot in these few
months. But most of all, he has pulled the covers off corruption
in America. He doesn't mind defending the middle class against
big businesses. Race was not brought up by me, race was brought
up by your first poster. And let me tell you, I am not ashame of
my race nor my President. If people would talk fact, there
wouldn't be any reasons to complain. Please open your eyes,
Greed landed us where we are as a nation and ignorant-hatred will keep
us here if we insist on going back (take the time to watch 'Inside Job

America have wonderful stories too. I was excited watching the
Chile rescue. I was also excited when our President put a stop to
the pirates attacking America's ship in April 2009. I was excited
when the President made a point of making sure victims of BP's latest
oil spill would not have to wait years for money like they did after
the explosion in Texas in 2005 (in that explosion you had death of
hundreds were injured). I was excited when the war in Iraq was
move from military combat to a consulting level. Yes, I am proud
of my country and my President.
Editor's note: Are you proud Obama killed over ten thousand jobs after
the oil spill by stopping all drilling of our own offshore oil while he
gave the green light to China, Mexico, South America, and Cuba and even
allowed our tax money to help those countries drill for our oil? Are
you proud of him for creating more debt that all Presidents from George
Washington to George Bush combined in 20 months? Are you proud of his unconstitutional

RE: "My head is held down in shame
but not because of my wonderful, intelligent President...."
This is just so delicious. Just by that statement alone you can
see the dribbling bias, not based on content or merit, but, yes, the
race card.
And this statement, "My head is in shame for the evil people who
blindly follow others who mean them no good."
Are you referring to a President that was elected in such a manner, and
does, in fact, mean this country no good? Or are you referring to
Hitler, Ahmadinajahd, or Bin Laden? And let's clarify this-just
because someone blindly follows others, doesn't make them evil, they're
just ignorant. Since it appears you voted for BHO does that make
you evil?
And this statement is a real gem, "My head is down because of all the
evidence that has shown that big businesses and those who call
themselves conservatives are determine to continue their path of
greed. Millions of dollars have been paid out to ensure that big
businesses regain their flexible actions that led us to this meltdown."
And just who paid Big Business with all of this money to bail them out
and now their execs are receiving bigger bonuses than ever? Can
anyone say "This Administration"? Yup BHO has done a fine job in
playing not only the race card, but also the class warfare card.
Yet, it seems that those evil big business execs are doing quite well
under Obama.
And ahhhhh yes, the race card, "My head is down in shame because
hatred of our President’s race........."
Obviously, and again, no other defense is available. You can't
defend the policies, therefore you have to resort to the beat up and
very worn ace in the hole, the race card. Wake up! If you
are old enough to remember or have suffered through the Carter
Administration, I am sure you would get the same nasty responses about
his wonderful economic and foreign policies as the current
Administration. I feel a little pitty for Jimmy Carter
though. Here, he had an opportunity of being removed from the top
of the list as being the worst President in American history. But
he can't. He will always be number one on the list because he's
not black, and therefore, can not explain away his failed policies by
using the race card. Poor Jimmy.
And what an idiotic statement, "My head is down because of my shame of
you and others like you. My head is down because of people who
will sell out our country because of President Obama’s race."
I could be the business owner that took the risk to start a business
that gave you or a family member a job. I could be the veteran
that traversed the world, ridding it of tyranny, just so dumb masses
like you can spew such bilge. I could be a retired person that
lived through the Great Depression, lived through Jimmy Carter, or
lived through the disintegration of the Soviet Union, and can plainly
see that the same policies being pursued by this President have never
worked, and never will work, unless of course, you want to live like
those in other countries.
And if you, if you still have such hatred for big business, for freedom
and liberty in this country, and still want government to control
everything, why don't you leave? Why don't you go to another
country and trade places with someone who dreams of coming to
America. But interestingly enough, you would hate them too.
Because they are part of the very "Big Business" you hate. They
are the ones who have come to fulfill a dream. Came with nothing more
than the clothes on their back, came without being able to speak a lick
of English, came and left their family behind. And now, they are
the ones that own the chain of convenience stores, gas stations, do-nut
shops, laundromats, grocery stores, clothing stores, that you shop at
or work in, while still waiting for a hand out. You, my friend,
are the one we should all fear the most.

Editor's note: If a voter goes into the general election and votes a

Apparently three members of county council
check their brains at the door. I read that during the October
council meeting Mrs. Blackwell requested comments added to the previous
minutes by administrator Brown be struck because they were not made at
the meeting. That would be a reasonable request. Mr.
Ashcraft voted to strike the comments. Good old Bright and Dorn
voted no. Then Kneece abstained which produced the same results
as if he voted no. The motion died from lack of majority.
So what is so important that these three along with Brown made sure the
comments were included in the minutes even though they were not spoken
during the meeting. I never heard of such blatant disregard for
rules but then again we are talking about the council of this
county. I hope those who voted for and continue to vote for these
people, see the wizard and get a brain, then learn how to use it.

I love how Clemson fans go running like
scared cats with tails between their legs, break things and probably
kick their dogs, too when they lose and the Cocks win. USC has an
outside chance at playing in the BCS Championship and Clemson can't
even beat a marginal ACC team (UNC). If Carolina wins the rest of
their games and defeats an undefeated Auburn or LSU team in the SEC
Championship, they will almost certainly be one of two teams in the BCS
Championship game. Clemson will likely lose to a 4-1 Maryland
team on Saturday in what was formerly Death Valley. In addition,
Carolina's victory on Saturday was big on multiple levels. Beyond
what was obviously the biggest win in school history, the event
decidedly shifted the in-state recruiting advantage to USC, and in a
small state, where big-time recruits don't grow on trees, that victory
has given USC a huge intangible benefit for years to come. USC
will have their pick of South Carolina's best high-school players and
Clemson will have to compete with Winthrop and Coker College for the
leftovers. 1981 was 30 years ago and it's a new day in college
football!!

Apparently you identify with that term easily as your mind must have
been wandering somewhere other than driving when you almost hit the
officer. You were in the wrong. Pay attention to what you
are doing when driving. Flashing blue lights have a
meaning. Everyone who left that game can support the fact that
the blue lights were flashing and the officers had flashlights. And as
for your going only 10 miles per hour, you need to have your odometer

and blame the officers! Keep your, "I didn't do anything wrong," line

What do GRN , UNC, WFM stand for????

I am so upset after leaving the October
8th Strom Thurmond football game. Upon leaving the game, I headed
towards Edgefield. As I was approaching JET Middle School Parking Lot,
there were 2 police vehicles parked on each side of the road. There
were no vehicles leaving the JET parking lot. All traffic was stopped
at that area. So, I began passing through very slowly as I thought was
safe and appropriate. There were absolutely no flash lights directing
traffic, nor clear reflective material on the suit. I thought that it
was okay for me to pass through very slowly. I did not see any
reflective material..
As I slowly passed through at ~ 10 miles per hour or less, an Edgefield
County police man basically jumped out in front of my vehicle on the
'left passenger' side of my vehicle and yelled 'stop'. He then slammed
his arm into the passenger side of the glass of my vehicle and also
kicked the side of my vehicle. Fortunately, there was no damage once I
looked over my vehicle once I got home. This was very frightening
and scary. You know who you are. So, does the policeman that was on the
left side of the road....the driver's side of my vehicle. I did not
know what to do. But, this caused me out of so much fright with
violence towards me for no reason, that I swerved and was prepared to
'pull over' if I had done anything wrong. I didn't know whether to pull
my vehicle over. I felt that if I had done something wrong; then, a
police officer would have come after me. I thought of turning around
and simply asking upsettingly and tearfully 'why' that police officer
'scared me to death' when it was no fault of mine.
You 'all know' and may stick up for one another. I wasn't a teenager,
but a 42 year old mother. I called and reported this to an officer on
duty after I arrived home...hours later in still feeling so upset as I
would feel fearful of this happening again. There was no sheriff or
deputy officer to speak with. But, for the officer that I did get to
speak with....I do hope that you will report my situation and what
happened to me....to the appropriate authorities. You seemed to
be very compassionate towards in explaining to you what happened to me
and the violence of the police officer.
As I reported, I want to remain anonymous for fear of
retaliation. I have always thought the wonderful world of the
Edgefield police men and admire them so much; as I most certainly
will continue to do so. You guys are the best. I suppose there is
always a 'rogue' police officer out there. And, you on the left side of
the road knew that he was in the wrong too. Shame on you if you take up
for him. I could have suffered a heart attack without my medication as
I did a panic attack in not knowing what to do. So, dear Sheriff or
Deputy Sheriff; I do hope that you will take appropriate action as
there was no safe direction provided for me, much less the violent
'rogue' police officer. I have read articles on the danger of police
officers directing traffic. I am a safe driver and have been for my
driving experience since I was 18 years old. This was police
violence...to have possibly damaged my vehicle...besides scaring me to
death. If I had done such, I certainly would expect to be reprimanded.
You make the other wonderful best of the best police men look bad. But,
I know that they are not.

Once upon a time the government had a
vast scrap yard in the middle of a desert. Congress said,
"Someone may steal from it at night." So they created a night

Then Congress said, "How does the watchman do his job
without instruction?" So they created a planning department and
hired two people, one person to write the instructions, and one
person to do time studies. Then Congress said, "How will we
know the night watchman is doing the tasks correctly?" So they
created a Quality Control department and hired two people. One to
do the studies and one to write the reports. Then Congress
said, "How are these people going to get paid?" So They created
two positions: a time keeper and a payroll officer, then hired
two people.
Then Congress said, "Who will be accountable for all of these people?"
So they created an administrative section and hired three people,
an Administrative Officer, Assistant Administrative Officer, and
a Legal Secretary. Then Congress said, "We have had
this command in operation for one Year and we are $918,000 over

I would like to encourage that writer to consider placing the satellite
dish on a pole away from the house. Ours is on a metal pole about
4 ft tall and about 100ft away from the house. Its in
location that peeks through the trees. DISH Network and
DirectTV are the two main choices, but their respective satellites are
in different locations in the sky, so your choice of provider will also
determine the best location for your satellite dish. The
installers don't like to mess with these poles, because it takes longer
than just placing the dish on your roof or side of the house.
I installed my own pole, used a flat bladed shovel to create a shallow
trench for the cable between the pole and the point where I wanted the
cable to enter the house. I bought the underground cable from
(electronic stores), buried it in the shallow trench, and when the
installer arrived, he took it from there.
Excellent picture and decent service for rural areas. Good
luck. There is a way to make satellite work.

I would encourage anyone who has an interest in the future of Edgefield
County to read the guest editorial, From Wikinomics to the Tea Party by
L. Gordon Crovitz in the Monday, October 4 edition of the Wall Street
Journal (Opinion Page). The gist of the article is that,
"Government is the institution most obviously frozen in the pre-Web
era.". The author does a great job of siting examples of how
government could use the new developments in social networking to
become more effective by facilitating community action through greater
availability of the information that is needed to move citizens to
action.
As we approach the elections and look to a fresh start in the coming
year. I would encourage our citizens as well as our candidates to
think about the possibilities that could become reality as so very
aptly described by Mr. Crovitz. I believe Edgefield has the
makings to be a trend-setter in South Carolina, but that will require
thinking beyond the annual fights over Piedmont Tech, etc. If
nothing else, the article gives a blue print for how other counties
will seize the day and leap frog into the future.

RE: "In response to the father whose

When I grew up and attended public schools, I recall our classroom
sizes as being 30-40 students. I didn't have any problem
receiving an education. Why? Because like the education of
today-it starts at home. My mother made sure my homework was
done, my mother made sure she checked my grades. My mother
whipped my @$$ if I was a discipline problem in school. Where did
it all go wrong? When the NEA took control of the workforce and the PC
police took control of discipline. They used the argument of
class size, student to teacher ratio as a way to hire more teachers so
"we could better educate the children". That wasn't for the
children! It was for the union to increase membership and union
dues. Look at the graduation rates. Have they gotten any
better now that we have smaller student to teacher ratios?
NOOOOOOOOOO. Have they gotten any better since we have a program for
everything under the sun? NOOOOOOOO. As a matter of fact, they've
gotten worse. That whole argument was a farce.
Teachers know who they can let work on their own so they can spend more
time with other students. Follow the money. We have been
taken for a ride by the NEA, our school systems are broken, and it has
cost us taxpayers billions-trillions, and for what? The only
thing that has gotten better- teacher's salaries, and union boss
pensions. Ask yourself, why do we have teachers spending money
out of their own pockets for supplies? Why do we as parents get
laundry lists of supplies, and yet the School District just voted to
raise your taxes to the highest allowable millage rate (and it was
openly stated by Kearns that they would vote for more if they were
allowed). A $30-40 tax increase a year for you. And, a, let
me see, a $5000 raise for the Superintendent, already making
$125K/year, for poor performing schools, means, uh, that will require
125-167 families just to pay for that raise. Interesting isn't
it. If your job performance was as abysmal as hers would you get
a raise at your place of employment? Well you probably would if you
controlled the very School Board that votes on your raise. And
the NEA received $384 MILLION from its membership last year??????
We as a country have a really big ship to stop and turn around.
In order to take back our country, we have to start here at home.
Remember this, "All politics are local"? That's true. We
need to take back our schools. We need to elect School Board
members that are qualified, not ones that have no school experience or
can not even certify as a South Carolina teacher. We need to get
rid of mealy mouthed Principals that provide cover for teachers that
are out of line instead of taking corrective action. We also don't need
to elect any more criminals, i.e., drug traffickers, or felons.
We need to trim the budget waste. We need to get rid of poor
performing teachers. We need to reward teachers that
achieve. We need to trim District employment ranks of which
continue to grow. We need to get rid of our addiction on
federally funded programs through grants that don't work, but burden
our school budgets with wasteful programs and employees hired to run
the programs, then run out.

In response to the father whose daughter
is in an overloaded classroom:
It has taken me a while to get to this point of where I have to say
what I have to say. This has been on my mind and my heart for so long
it has weighed me down. I remember once at STHS, I could go into Mr.
Thompson's office with a problem and he would listen to my problems,
then he would pull out a bag of lifesavers and ask me if I wanted one.
He had such a way about him that let you know he understood and really
cared about how you were feeling. When you walked out of his office,
you knew you had understanding and support. In other words, the problem
would be taken care of pronto. Then there was Mrs. O'Neal who was
practically a part of the school "the moment the bricks were laid." She
had her ways about her with her good days and bad days, but ultimately
you knew she really cared. She never shewed you from her office and
said your problem was for another principal to handle. Mrs. O'Neal knew
how to schedule classes effectively and make sure there was an even
distribution of students etc. STHS in the present has a totally
different feel. Teachers aren't as trusting of each other. Classrooms
are overloaded which lead to more discipline problems. Teachers try to
say what is going on, but does anyone listen? No, we are overlooked and
given even more work to do. It is such a nice little idea to do all of
these new programs, but what administration is truly getting is not a
faculty that is 100% for each new little idea, but a faculty that is
doing what is necessary to get by. You may have 20% of the faculty on
board, but truthfully the rest of us just do whatever because we have
to do it, not because we truly want to. On the other hand, if Mr.
Thompson and Mrs. O'Neal were still in leadership the whole school
climate and teacher morale would be so much better.

Gee, I coulda had a V8. What an epiphany. You had a couple
of guys stirring things up, so much much that School Board and District
played the race card early. Obviously they were on to something,
things were beginning to surface, and people were starting to come
forward with information. However, there were some pansies that
didn't like the way it was being done. Whaaaaa. It was too
negative. Well to fight corruption and to fight that bunch, they
had to use the tactics they were using. As I saw it, they were
actually using their own tactics against them and they were being
effective-the Saul Alinsky tactics. They were fighting fire with
fire and winning. You know they were winning when they had the
race card played against them. Then people got scared, and a few
of the old PC liberals in the county started to submarine their
effort. I think Jackson said it right-y'all are going to learn
the hard way. Those two were so far ahead of the rest of you it
actually is looking pretty pathetic for just now waking up. In
case you haven't noticed, they want control of the school system
because it is a cash cow. The NEA is the largest and most
powerful union, and it brings in a lot of money to the union
bosses. They use the children in the same manner as the
terrorists-as human shields to achieve their objective. I think
we should ask the County Council to approve funds to conduct an
external audit-they're shuffling money and spreading it around.

when I called the office they said they were not AWARE we did not

they find others ways to help them out without using TARP. Now

they put forth legislation in the State House and in Washington for
term limits and recall options.
DeMint has been working on this in Washington, but to no avail for
obvious reasons. We need to let him know we are backing him and
will provide SC as support. Also, Massey needs to get on the
stick and push Recall Legislation-would be a good year to gather
momentum with the voters BUT HE HAS GOT TO USE THE BULLY PULPIT TO GET
SCarolinians INVOLVED!!!!!!
Wouldn't it be great to have the power as the "We the People" states,

that clown Alton Brown, the other clown-Sallie Cooks, Viola Jackson,
Bibbs, and in Columbia Jim Rex, and in Washington the clown leader
Flimsey Grahamnesty.
Yeah yeah yeah. We can enforce term limits every 2, 4 or 6 years by
voting them out. But that doesn't always happen because some
voters just vote without educating themselves, how do you say
BHO. And more imporatntly, why should we as rsponsible citizens
have to wait to get rid of bums like Alton Brown or any of the
aforementioned-they can, and have done a lot of damage in a few short
years while we are waiting for the election cycle. With recall,
we could wipe that smugness right off Alton Browns face.

"Waiting for Superman" the documentary
bringing to the front and center how really bad our schools are and the
abject failure of the system. Seems like Jackson and Kemp, were
once again, ahead of their time.
We need to start looking at the financials of our district, I mean
really looking at them. Two other things we need to really start
looking into - 1) Warrenville or Warren County, GA just had its entire
school board removed and replaced by an administrative law judge
because citizens brought forth a complaint of which was
validated-essentially, the school board was removed from their
positions because they were pursuing their own agenda and not
necessarily policy. 2) Bell, CA has been raising hell and
even had elected officials indicted for corruption for appointing
themselves to positions and jacking up their pay by way of voting
themselves pay increases or exorbitant salaries - Hmmmmmmmmm?
Bibbs gets elected to school board and gets his wife a job of which is
approved by the district. But only after he throws qualifications
out the window and moves to hire Crenshaw and votes to pay her
$125K/year, and then a recent raise? Hmmmmmmmm? And who approved the
hiring of Bibbs' wife-the District????? Then Crenshaw moves to
hire Clinckscales and just about doubles her salary?????? to what
80-90K/year? And now Clinkscales is padding the district
employment roles with dead weight. And now, the Marine is looking to
get a position as the JROTC Instructor????????
By the way, I thought our soldiers stood for honor and doing things
above and beyond? Appears this Marine is looking to do for
himself. Marines I know have an affinity toward taking care of
children-this one takes pride in helping the very system his wife is in
charge of, in screwing the children out of a decent education.
There's always one that brings shame.
Edgefield County-you've got issues. Look at what last year's
threat was-teachers losing their jobs because of budget issues.
Now, look at how many people have been hired and appear to be in
floating jobs. We've got a remedial reading mentor, an engineer,
etc........Y'all better be looking at the personnel ranks. If we
were broke, where did all these people come from? And when we're
broke again, whose going to go? The way this bunch works - our
best teachers. "Waiting for Superman"

With Election Day barely four weeks off,
great attention is being paid to national and state contests. However,
we mustn't lose sight of significant local elections, for those
representing us there truly
are our local leaders. Those comprising the Edgefield County Council
take on added importance in these difficult economic times. I believe
that Dean Campbell is the best candidate to represent County District
3. As former Mayor of Johnston, Dean knows what it is needed to
effectively govern. He is acquainted with County issues, and will
encourage citizen involvement at the local government level while at
the same time seeking to bring about changes beneficial to all. Chief
among these will be efforts to improve economic development in the
county. This will allow for growth, and result in increased County
revenues without additional taxes. Dean is in favor of developing a
means through which County employees would be able to report fraud,
waste, and abuse. Good government would be enhanced in two ways: first,
through exposure of existing activity (hopefully none); second, by
acting as a deterrent to any future such activity. Dean also
wishes to ensure our Sheriff's Department has the required resources to
protect persons and property. The Edgefield County Council wields
considerable influence in the lives of all Edgefield County residents -
we owe it to ourselves, our families, our County,
and our State, to elect persons committed to serving for the greater
good. Dean Campbell is one of these, and deserves to be elected on 2
November 2010.
