December 2012 Archive

I only get to read wanding minds about once a week. I work 50-60 hours a week and when I have free time I like to read Edgefield Daily. It really shocks me that all I read is "I don't have this", or "I don't have that", or "We need this and that". "I don't like this or that" and so on. One question? Do any of you ever say " I'm so thankful for what I have?" "I feel so blessed that I have a great family and great friends." I have never read where anyone has had one positive thing to say. Well I can. I'm so lucky to have the family I have. I so lucky to have the friends I have, and I'm so greatful to live in a community where a few people feel the same and me. Come on people get greatful for what you have and stop complaining about what you don't have. So Sad!!!!!!

Now that the election is over, it is safe to say Adell Dobey feels comfortable in maintaining his very unprofessional tactics.  I was shocked to learn of Sgt. Michael Raffield's recent demotion.  Sgt Raffield is an outstanding officer who goes out of his way to help people.  He is fair and just, not playing sides or hidden agendas.  The story that resulted in Raffield's demotion is as follows: a student recorded an assault at school of another student.  He also posted this video on facebook.  He knew before the assault took place and did nothing to prevent the attack, instead bragged about it on his facebook page.  Raffield was not the SRO or school officer, but this officer did ask Raffield for advice.  A warrant was issued by a judge to arrest the student for simple assault and disturbing schools.  The student plead guilty to these charges but was released by Dobey early.   Can someone please explain this to me? No doubt in my mind that Dobey has some "connection" to the family of this boy. Furthermore, I would like for Dobey to explain to the taxpayers of Edgefield County why the Sheriff Dept's canines live in such poor conditions.  These poor animals would be better off living in a shelter.  Is it true that one dog froze to death while another died from heat stroke?  These animals are an important part of fighting crime! Not to mention Dobey's refusal to pay former employee Jason Rushton for housing these dogs for months, resulting in a lawsuit which will only cost the taxpayers even more money! Something has to be done! Dobey owes this county and his employees answers!
web posted December 31, 2012

I don't know if you follow facebook but Mike Raffield says there should be changes at the Sheriff's Office and the dogs are kept in unsanitary conditions. I hope [Edgefield Daily] is going to investigate this.

Editor's note: We have been in contact with Mr. Raffield, the Sheriff's Office, and the County Council. Our report can be found here.

An interesting analogy.  Does this sound a little familiar??

If your neighbor's mentally ill son broke into their garage and took the Corvette that his mother owned, the same car that she'd even used to teach him how to drive, a type of car which the media had previously dubbed the "Devil's Spawn Car" because there've been numerous crashes involving Corvettes mostly involving young male drivers, and he ran down his mom and killed her as he left the driveway, then proceeded to speed at 150 mph in a school zone that was clearly posted with a "No Speeding" sign and crashed into a school bus carrying 20 children and 6 teachers leaving on a field trip, and the bus blew up killing all inside.

Would you blame the "Corvette Owners of America" car club even though the driver of the car wasn't a member of the COA, and would you call the COA a terrorist organization because the COA obviously must know that mentally ill people will obtain and drive Corvettes and demand that the COA do something to prevent it from ever happening again, and would you cast blame on all of the members of the COA who've never even sped in their Corvettes and have never even gotten a ticket or have never been in a crash and who always drive and care for their Corvettes in a safe manner, and would you treat them as if they were the ones who slammed the Corvette into the school bus full of children and demand that their rights to own a car be taken away, and would you tell them that they couldn't shop at your business because they drove up in a Corvette, and would you demand that no one ever be able to buy a Corvette again?

Australian gun law update

Before you get too excited about banning all firearms, take a look at this.

Australian Gun Law Update? Here's a thought to warm some of your hearts....

From: Ed Chenel, a police officer in Australia;

Hi Yanks, I thought you all would like to see the real figures from Down Under. It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by a new law, created by liberal politicians to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by our own government, a program costing Australian taxpayers more than $500 million dollars.

The first year results are now in:
Australia-wide, homicides are up 6.2 percent,
Australia-wide, assaults are up 96 percent;
Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)!
In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent.
(Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not and criminals still possess their guns!)

While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since the criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.

There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the elderly, while the resident is at home.

Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort and expense was expended in 'successfully ridding Australian society of guns....

' You won't see this on the American evening news or hear your governor or members of the State Assembly disseminating this information.

The Australian experience speaks for itself. Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and
property and, yes,gun-control laws affect only the law-abiding citizens.

Take note Americans, before it's too late! Will you be one of the sheep to turn yours in? WHY? You will need it.

Another Holiday Groaner......

Christmas was over, so Rudolph had a chance to do something he had wanted to do for a long time. He made an appointment with a plastic surgeon because he was so sensitive about his looks.

However, it wasn't his glowing proboscis that he wanted changed. He was proud of his nose and the help he had given Santa because of it. No, he was sensitive about his long ears which were much more prominent than the ears of the average reindeer.

So one week after Christmas, he underwent reconstructive surgery, and since that time, January 1st has been celebrated as ... New Ears Day.

Happy New Year to all!!!

What is it about Edgefield County that we have so many child molesters running around? The sex offender list keeps growing and it seems every time I turn around somebody else is being arrested for messing with little kids.
It makes me sick!
web posted December 29, 2012

Re:  Coach Rouse

So, let me guess:  your child didn't make the team or doesn't play much.  Its no wonder that you get on this site to smear someone who can't defend himself.  That's what most people do who can't use the truth to justify how they feel.  You really wouldn't say any of those things to the person themselves because most of what is said here isn't true when it comes to personal attacks.  People who write on here to attack our local people just didn't get their way and can't do anything other than lie.  Please go back to reading Fifty Shades of Gray and leave the good people of Edgefield County who work with children for a living alone!
web posted December 29, 2012

Another day another child molester. Forget about grabbing guns. Maybe we should be doing something about the sex perverts "grabbing" our kids. That's a crime that lasts a lifetime.  These mosters ruin their lives forever. They should be executed if convicted. You can't cure that kind of pervert.

My husband and I want to express our thanks to SCE&G on the way they restored our power within 20 minutes of our call to them on McQueen Street during the storm on Friday night of last week.  I was told to always call if I have a problem as they may not know about it.  Neighbors had power but a few of us did not.  Thanks boys!
web posted December 29, 2012

You have no right to splash somebody's name across the web as a child molester until they are convicted of being a child molester. Mr. Loehr is a good man. You should be ashamed and I hope when he is proven guilty he sues your [rear end] for all you have!

Editor's note: Our report did not say Mr. Loehr was a child molester, it simply stated the fact that he has been charged with that crime. That is public information, just like any arrest. I personally attend trials of major crimes committed in Edgefield County. If he is found not guilty it will be reported. The Edgefield County Sheriff's Office over the last nine years has close to a 99% conviction rate on sex crimes. That is also a fact. They do not arrest people just for the sake of arresting them.

With the Strongest Gun Laws in the Country 446 School Age Children Shot in Chicago So Far this Year!

The Media Says Nothing!  Where are the tears?

The cesspool known as Chicago probably has the toughest gun laws in the country, yet despite all the shootings, murders, and bloodshed, you never hear a peep about this from the corrupt state run media.

In Chicago, there have been 446 school age children shot in this leftist utopia run by Rahm Emanuel; the same city that produced Obama, Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, etc.  62 school aged children have actually been killed by crazed nuts in Chicago so far this year with almost two weeks to go. So why isn’t this news worthy?

Is it because it would embarrass those anti second amendment nuts who brag about Chicago’s tough gun laws?  Is it because most of the kids who were shot and killed were minorities?  Or is it because the corrupt media doesn’t want to show Chicago in a bad light?  Amazingly, no Obama crocodile tears either.

For those of you too dense to get the point of this, it’s to make the point about gun laws.  No matter how tough the gun laws are, the crazed, nut jobs will find a way to get them and if they so chose, use them.  No draconian law can stop this, no matter how well intentioned the law is.

This is really just about leftists grabbing power from citizens and taking away their constitutional rights self defense.

The killing is caused by the moral decay of the citizens of our country.  Guns don’t kill people, people kill people!

I don't think this is a school sponsored shirt, but I do know this; the last thing that a bunch of snobby, elitist Yankees want to do before the game is to rile the South and the SEC. That's just stupid.

I didn't see [county council vice-chair] Blackwell's letter until I read when it was linked here [Wandering Minds]. I don't read every day so sometimes I miss things. I was glad she thanked "everyone" but she didn't mention others that helped that put their lives at risk. My husband works for the Co-op and restoring power after a storm is not a risk free job. What about people who work for [SC]DOT? I'm not fussing, but if you name some you should name all. JMHO

Editor's note: I believe that her letter was intended for all who helped out to restore power and transportation routes. I believe that is the reason elected officials do not make such comments publicly because if you name some and not all, someone ends up offended.

As she stated, "I want to sincerely thank everyone involved and tell you how much you are appreciated." I think that should have covered all the bases. But, as you said, it's "Just my humble opinion (JMHO)".

I don't like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don't think Christians like getting pushed around for  being Christians. I think people who believe in God are  sick and tired of getting pushed around, period.  I have no  idea where the concept came from, that America is an explicitly  atheist country.  I can't find it in the Constitution and I  don't like it being shoved down my throat...

Or maybe I  can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we  should worship celebrities and we aren't allowed to worship God  as we understand Him? I guess that's a sign that I'm getting old, too.  But there are a lot of us who are  wondering where these celebrities came from and where the   America we knew went to.

In  light of recent events... terrorists attack, school shootings,  etc..  I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found a few years ago) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK. Then  someone said you better not read the Bible in school...  The Bible says thou shalt not kill; thou shalt not steal, and  love your neighbor as yourself.  And we said  OK.

Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave, because their little personalities  would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide). We said an expert should  know what he's talking about..  And we said  okay..

Now we're asking ourselves why our children have  no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it  doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and  themselves.

Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with 'WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.'

Funny how simple it is  for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to  hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says.  Funny how you can send  'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when  you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think  twice about sharing.  Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and  obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public  discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.

Are you laughing yet?

CALIFORNIA :
The Governor of California is jogging with his dog along a nature trail.  A coyote jumps out and attacks and kills the Governor's dog, then bites the Governor.

1. The Governor starts to intervene, but reflects upon the movie "Bambi" and then realizes he should stop because the coyote is only doing what is natural.
2. He calls animal control . Animal Control captures the coyote and bills the State $200 testing it for diseases and $500 for relocating it.
3. He calls a veterinarian. The vet collects the dead dog and bills the State $200 testing it for diseases.
4. The Governor goes to hospital and spends $3,500 getting checked for diseases from the coyote and on getting his bite wound bandaged.
5. The running trail gets shut down for 6 months while Fish & Game conducts a $100,000 survey to make sure the area is now free of dangerous animals.
6. The Governor spends $50,000 in state funds implementing a "coyote awareness program" for residents of the area.
7. The State Legislature spends $2 million to study how to better treat rabies and how to permanently eradicate the disease throughout the world.
8. The Governor's security agent is fired for not stopping the attack. The State spends $150,000 to hire and train a new agent with additional special training re: the nature of coyotes.
9. PETA protests the coyote's relocation and files a $5 million suit against the State.

ARIZONA :
The Governor of Arizona is jogging with her dog along a nature trail. A Coyote jumps out and attacks her dog.

1. The Governor shoots the coyote with her State-issued pistol and keeps jogging. The Governor has spent $0.50 on a .45 ACP hollow point cartridge.
2. The Buzzards eat the dead coyote.

And that, my friends, is why California is broke and Arizona is not.

I'm impressed to your quick response to someone saying all guns should be banned. That person has missed much. Criminals and those choosing to harm others with guns will always be able to get guns! People hunt for food.  Prices today are making that a necessity for feeding families.
Self protection and protecting family and property are a growing priority in today's time. Our right to bear arms is just that our right! Someone who does not see the " big picture" of it all should not have a voice in our rights!

Editor's note: I have a black/white (not racial) thinking process, it's right or wrong. Good or bad. I live in realville, not the liberal world of shades of grey. We are a nation of laws, not "feelings". People who want to make an argument based of emotions do not have a case when it comes to the Constitution.

Editor's note:The most recent information I have is the proposed location next to the County Shop is not enough land to fit the building and two septic systems required for the shelter. The county owns other property that is also being considered as well as purchasing a tract that is for sale at a much reduced price. The funds for construction have already been allocated and the plans have already been drawn. It is hoped the shelter location can be identified and construction to follow in the spring, about 9 months behind schedule.

Nobody should have a gun in a house with small kids. Guns are used only to kill. They should all be banned. There are stores so there is no need to hunt. You can buy food. Everytime there is a news report about a kid with a gun it is about them shooting another kid. This madness needs to end NOW!

Editor's note: That is a lie. There are countless local news reports of children using a gun to defend themselves and their home. Here is a case where an 11-year-old girl home alone defended herself and the family home from three would be armed burglars. I could list thousands more. It is the national media that will not promote the use of guns by armed citizens. It does not fit the media story line they promote, being that all guns are bad. Guns are not bad, some people are.

Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
-----------------------------
Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.
------------------------------
You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information.

Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens. Take note my fellow Americans, before it's too late! The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson.

Editor's note: Do not confuse liberals with facts. History, to them, begins at the time they speak and everything is based on "feelings" and their desire to impose thier beliefs on everyone else. Otherwise known as a dictatorship. The very thing the 2nd Amendment was put in the Bill of Rights to prevent.

RE: Keep pushing God out of our schools. I don't want to ever hear anyone say "where was God" during the murder of the kids in school in Conn. He was just where you wanted, out of the schools.

How do you explain the shootings in Churches, Temples and Synagogues? God gave us free will and a mentally ill you man made the decision to kill those children. They may not pray out load in public schools today but God is still there. He was in every one of the adults guiding them to protect the children in their care. Giving them the strength to keep the children  calm and quite. He gave teacher Miss Soto and the other adults the courage to face to the shooter with their lives.
You need to think a little harder about the God you are worshiping, God is not petty and mean because oral prayers are not said in school.

It's always good to keep your promises:

It was the day after Christmas at St Peter and St Paul's church in Borden, Kent, England. Father John, the vicar, was looking at the nativity scene outside when he noticed the baby Jesus was missing from the figures.

Immediately, Father John's thoughts turned to calling in the local policeman but as he was about to do so, he saw little Nathan with a red wagon, and in the wagon was the figure of the little infant, Jesus.

Father John approached Nathan and asked him, 'Well, Nathan, where did you get the little infant?'

Nathan looked up, smiled and replied, 'I took him from the church.'
'
And why did you take him?' He asked.

With a sheepish grin, Nathan said, 'Well, Father John, about a week before Christmas I prayed to Lord Jesus. I told him if he would bring me a red wagon for Christmas, I would give him a ride around the block in it.'

I just finished reading the transcript of the National Rifle Association’s news conference (12-21-12). At its core is a no-brainer if there ever was one: Good guys with guns protect politicians, airports, industrial installations, etc., so why in the world have we neglected to provide armed protection for our children at school? This is not a new idea. The NRA proposed putting armed guards in very school following the Virginia Tech tragedy five years ago, but it didn’t fly. According to the NRA, “this President zeroed out school emergency planning grants in last year’s budget, and scrapped ‘Secure Our Schools’ policing grants in next year’s budget.” Yet he’s kicked off another effort that will most assuredly propose more restrictions on us law-abiding citizens and will most assuredly not figure a way to register all the mentally ill and, in many cases, outright deranged people walking among us. I applaud the NRA’s offer to develop and help implement “a model National School Shield Emergency Response Program for every school that wants it.” At least, they’re striking at the root of the problem while the politicians flail away at the branches. Think, people! Think!

Great job, and the hard work does pay off!  Keep your nose clean and choose your friends wisely, and you will have a good career.

But, notice the operative word - "mother" by his side.  Obviously this woman has raised her child right and didn't listen to the likes of Bibbs and Dorn.  She has taught her son to work hard instead of waiting for the thug race baiters like Bibbs and Dorn to promise a handout, of which never materializes because those race baiters are too busy grabbing what they can get for themselves.  Those two knuckle heads are losers so they want everyone else to be like them.  That's why they spend all their time playing the race card - because they have no talent, they have no brains, they're losers, failures, and they surely don't want anyone in their community to get something they could never have - a successful career.

Keep your eye on these two race baiters and their buds in the NAACP.  If someone employed in this county isn't doing their job or is incompetent and may lose their job based on that incompetence, out come the justice brothers of Edgefield - Bibbs and Dorn.  And that's funny - they can't even be as successful as the real justice brothers - Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.  Those two bumbling idiots (Bibbs and Dorn) are even failures at race baiting.  That's funny!

Twas' 11 days before Christmas, around 9:38
when 20 beautiful children stormed through heaven's gate.
their smiles were contagious, their laughter filled the air.
they could hardly believe all the beauty they saw there.
They were filled with such joy, they didn't know what to say.
they remembered nothing of what had happened earlier that day.
"where are we?" asked a little girl, as quiet as a mouse.
"this is heaven." declared a small boy. "we're spending Christmas at God's house."
when what to their wondering eyes did appear, but Jesus, their savior, the children gathered near.
He looked at them and smiled, and they smiled just the same.
then He opened His arms and He called them by name.
and in that moment was joy, that only heaven can bring
those children all flew into the arms of their King
and as they lingered in the warmth of His embrace, one small girl turned and looked at Jesus' face.
and as if He could read all the questions she had He gently whispered to her, "I'll take care of mom and dad."
then He looked down on earth, the world far below He saw all of the hurt, the sorrow, and woe
then He closed His eyes and He outstretched His hand,
"Let My power and presence re-enter this land!"
"may this country be delivered from the hands of fools"
"I'm taking back my nation. I'm taking back my schools!"
Then He and the children stood up without a sound.
"come now my children, let me show you around."
excitement filled the space, some skipped and some ran.
all displaying enthusiasm that only a small child can.
and i heard Him proclaim as He walked out of sight,
"in the midst of this darkness, I AM STILL THE LIGHT."

Those getting all the perks (those on assistance etc.) will not be affected until there is no money left to give them. They aren't upset. Those of us who actually work and pay taxes are going to get hit hard. We don't have to be in the upper 2% folks, we are all going to see our taxes go up and we are going to be paying a lot for healthcare. Just wait till it hits the fan. Will our hero President ride in to save the day? Hmmmmm.

I hope our SC Representatives stand firm on conservative principles. That is what we elected them to do. If they don't, there is an election in two years and they will be held accountable. The voters in this state expect the representation they voted for.

What a terrible tragedy that has one again struck the people of our Nation.  My heart aches and I cry for the lose of the families and the pain they are having to endure at the hand of one man. I can only pray that God will comfort them and see them through this time in their life. This man is one of 308,745,538 (2010 census) people.  Our Nation is a free nation (so to speak) and it is our legal right to bare arms for protection, food, and sport.  The evil that possessed this man will again present itself, as in the past in one way or another.  Our Nation has become a godless Nation and has voted in godless leaders.  Our schools, churches and communities can take all the precautions needed, but if someone plots an evil plan they will find a way. Just like Jim Jones, a so called religious leader, who lead a mass suicide in 1978 that left 914 people dead. This man was known at Sandy Hook Elem. Had he not shot his way in, they would likely have let him in because he was a familiar face.  The same with Columbine and Virginia. Guns are not the issue here, it is the people of this Nation. Because of gun laws, hijacker's took down planes with box cutters, and murdered 3,000 people. Approximately 18,000 people die every year in alcohol related car accidents. Yet the government still allows the sale of alcohol that has proven to cause fatal accidents by drunken citizens that do not obey the  law.  Appx. 50,000 children die each year. 1,300+ children, most under the age of 5, die at the hands of, often times, their parent. But most commonly, their deaths are vehicle related.  Yet we still drive cars.  And the list goes on, intentional killings or not. Guns didn't walk on their own into Sandy Hook Elem and shoot 20 innocent children and adults.  Aside from mass killings, why do we not hear of daily tragedies in our nation? Are they not just as heart breaking, sad and deserving of national coverage?  When there are children and guns involved it might be publicized but not nationally unless it is a mass killing.  How often does that happen?   We are the people of this Nation, great or failing, it is OUR duty to protect ourselves and others if need be. If I choose to purchase a gun, that is my choice, not yours or the government! It won't shoot me or others unless the trigger is pulled. A knife, box cutter, vehicle, 2 x 4, or someones hands can just as easily take someones life, only if a person uses it for that purpose.  It happens everyday.  God bless those children, they will be dearly missed. As will all the other children that loose their life on a daily basis. They will never endure the face of evil again.

This is exactly why Mitt Romney said that 40 something % of the people are too dependent on the government. They have learned to work the system.

A Ford Dealer's Report - From Tom Selkis' (Latham Ford) Facebook - True story yesterday at the dealership.

"I'll try to make this as short and to the point as I can.
One of my salesmen here had a woman in his office yesterday wanting to lease a brand new Focus.
As he was reviewing her credit application with her he noticed she was on social security disability.

He said to her you don't look like you're disabled and unable to work.

She said, “ Well, I'm really not. I could work if I wanted to, but I make more now than I did when I was working and got hurt (non-disabling injury).”

She said the gov't sends her $1500.00 a month in 1 check. And she gets $700.00 a month on an EBT card (food stamps), and $800.00 a month for rent. Oh yeah, and 250 minutes free on her phone. That is just south of $3500.00 a month.

When she was working, she was taking home about $330.00 per week.

Do the math and then ask yourself why the hell should she go back to work. If you multiply that by millions of people, you start to realize the scope of the problem we face as a country.

Once the socialists have 51% of the population in that same scenario, we are finished. Democrats, Republicans, Independents,Muslims and Mexicans. Regardless of political preference, race or religion.

The question is “When do we cross that threshold,if we haven't
already, and there are not enough people working to pay enough taxes to support the non-working people? Riots??”
Be prepared to protect your homes.

She didn't lease the Focus here because the dealer down the road beat our deal by $10.00/month.

I liked having a Doctor that cut to the chase and spoke to me bluntly, all the while making me smile while he was stomping on my toes for not doing what he told me. He always called me "hard-headed". Yeah, there's a new flash for everyone.

My dear bride recently had a medical malady that caused her to miss over a month of work. After being misdiagnosed by several doctors around the Augusta area, it was not until she went to see Dr. Ned that it was properly diagnosed and treated allowing her to return to work within a week.

A short time later his illness was discovered. Neither she nor I ever had the chance to see him again to thank him for what he did for my bride. That is a regret I will always carry.

Dr. Ned will be missed and his absence will be felt for years to come.

RE: "Government Creates the Formula for Mass Shootings"

Truly a tragedy.  As I watched the news trickle in, my blood began to boil.  What a coward.  What did those children ever do to him?  What did the adults ever do to him?  And worse, what he got in the end just doesn't seem to be enough.  It's a shame you couldn't revive the piece of crap 28 times and shoot him.

And now the liberal gun ban nuts will come out of the woodwork, seizing on this as another opportunity to diminish or trash our Constitution.  Remember, in the words of Rahm Emanuel, Obama's first Chief of Staff - never let a [crisis] go to waste.  Problem is, we have thousands of gun laws on the books, but the only one's abiding by those laws are law abiding citizens.  Regardless of the gun laws on the books, criminals don't obey the laws, that's why they are criminals.  And as always, when government that's developed by liberals, there are ALWAYS unintended consequences.

Your editorial is absolutely correct - by virtue of their stupid laws and policies, they have in fact created soft targets.  And in their own warped manner of thinking, we need more gun laws?  Guess the guy that ran his car up on the sidewalk to kill as many walking bystanders as possible, hmmmmmm, where are the car control laws?

I agree with the editor. Teachers who want to carry a gun should be allowed to and the principals should be mandated to carry or have a gun in the office and be trained on how to use them. End the liberal pipe dream world of gun free zones. The only way to stop a bad man with a gun is a good man or woman with a gun. The shooting at the Clackamas Mall ended with only 2 people being killed because a man shopping had a gun and was seen by the shooter. The shooter shot himself before the CITIZEN with a glock could close in.

He gave Mexican drug dealers 1,000's of guns to kill Mexicans and US Border Patrol agents to push his gun controls that blew up in his face. He's not going to stop now.

Country Living magazine's  top three answers were:

3. Terminal illness

Ebony /  Jet magazine's top three answers  were:

RE: A Rock Creek Drive man called the Edgefield County Sheriff's Office to report two family pets being shot by a neighbor on Tuesday.

There is a very simple solution to keeping your dog from getting shot, keep it in your own yard. You are responsible for your pet’s safety.
I would like to hear the other side to this story. Why has this person resorted to shooting the dogs? Has he called the sheriff? Are his neighbors frequently letting their dogs roam? Have the roaming dogs caused him any problems? Many stories have been posted regarding the damage done by roaming dogs and nothing seems to be done about them. Have any of the stray dog owners ever been prosecuted?

Editor's note: If it is a "stray", no one knows who the owner is. When an owner is identified they are charged, just as those who shoot a dog for no reason are charged.

I have to laugh at the article about the Johnston Town meeting. "Mare" Livingston approved that the pick-up of tree limbs should be done in a ten minute time frame. Are you kidding??? I watch as the town trucks go around the block two or three times. How much of a time frame is allowed for that?? Talk about wasting time and money. There are limbs and piles of leaves in my area that have not been picked up for the last two weeks. What's the excuse for that, the trucks are down again? We used to live in a nice section of town, and the town used to keep up with leaves and branches, but not any more. And another thing. You can print notices up about the recycle truck not coming on a certain day, but you can't print notices about garbage pick ups? Last month the town was off on a Friday, but the public did not know
that, so a lot of us did not put our pails out that Monday because it was a holiday, (Vets Day), yet here comes the truck and I'm sure people were mad not having their pails out figuring that our pick up would be Tuesday or Wed. like it normally happens when a holiday falls on a Monday. With all this so called "excess" money in the budget, print up some notices to keep us informed. Don't tell us to go on line, not everyone has a computer!!

RANCHER: Well, there's my hired hand who's been with me for 3 years. I pay him $200 a week plus free room and board. Then there's the mentally challenged guy. He works about 18 hours every day and does about 90% of all the work around here. One sector is doing quite nicely, however, under Barack Hussein Obama. In the 1,420 days since he took the oath of office, the federal government has daily hired on average 101 new employees. Every day. Seven days a week. All 202 weeks. That makes 143,000 more federal workers than when Obama talked forever on that cold day in January of 2009.

RE: would love to know why is it that the basketball  teams at S.T.H.S. can never get money unlike a lot of other sports there. The teams gym need a makeover just like a lot of other areas of the school.

None of the “other sports” get money. That tree was chopped down long ago. In most of the sports programs ,  the coach’s involved do some type of fundraising or other creative “ efforts to raise needed funds. Coach rouse does an excellent job of his own fundraising, in fact better than most, and he raises most of his own money needed for his program and very seldom asks for additional funding. It is true that the basketball program plays in an older , outdated , smaller facility but that is changing as well. I believe the 5 year plan includes upgrades to the gym and a few other needed renovations. Most of the money generated, is generated by football, yet football gets the least benefit from money raised. The bulk of funds raised goes to the "other sports”. You and others can help simply by getting involved in the booster club and helping whatever your particular sport or interest is. As stated before, the booster club is nothing more than a group of parents of student atheletes and is striving to make a difference for their particular sport by coming together and working as a unit. The names change every year. Some of the boosters havn’t had a child involved in years but want to strom thurmond achieve excellance. Their efforts are invaluable.  Thank you for supporting rebel basketball !

Eastview Rd from Columbia Rd to the cemetery is the trashiest stretch of road in South Carolina. The trees that use to line the road have been cut, grass grows high on the side, and trash is littered everywhere. The people who own property bordering the road should take a little more pride in their property and their community. Also, it would be a great community service project for a local organization to adopt this road and keep it clean.

Editor's note: According to the comments I have read, black's who proclaim their conservative beliefs are ostracized by the black community. The last thing they would do is make that public. I find it odd that whites, Democrat and Republican, can get along despite party affiliation. However, if a black is a Republican they are racist, an Uncle Tom, a sell-out, or "acting white".

Look at the Republican history-Colin Powell was named by a Republican, Condalezza Rice was named by a Republican, many Republicans are hoping Tim Scott (a wonderful choice in my opinion) will fill Jim De Mint's seat. Wouldn't that be something, to have the first Black Senator come from SC and be a Republican, named by a Republican governor? Look at the many Blacks and Hispanics that are in leadership in the Republican party. They are articulate, smart, great leaders. What lies does the Black community believe about the Republicans? You know, facts are facts and it is a shame people believe the lies and not the facts. If you are a Republican and a person of color, than your leadership doesn't seem to count. What a slap in the face to the wonderful people who serve this country but have "Republican" attached to their name. I pray for each and every one of them to continue to lead and stand strong.

I 'm cutting back and you may want to also.... I 'm going to bite the bullet, too!!!!

President Obama ordered the cabinet to cut $100,000,000.00 ($100 million) from the $3,500,000,000,000.00 ($3.5 trillion) federal budget.

I 'm so impressed by this sacrifice that I have decided to do the same thing with my personal budget. I spend about $2,000 a month on groceries, household expenses, medicine, utilities, etc., but it 's
time to get out the budget cutting axe, go through my expenses, and cut back.

I 'm going to cut my spending at exactly the same ratio (1/35,000) of my total budget. After doing the math, it looks like instead of spending $2,000 a month, I 'm going to have to cut that number by six cents. Yes, I 'm going to have to get by with $1999.94, but that 's what sacrifice is all about.

I 'll just have to do without some things, that are, frankly, luxuries – six cents worth.

Did this President actually think no one would do the math? a $100 million cut in a $3.5 trillion budget – ludicrous!!!!!!!

Why are there so many sex offenders in Edgefield County and especially in Johnston?

The answer is simple. First we have liberal Obama  judges who are kind to the sex offenders and this is why one of our citizens was recently attacked by a repeat sex offender who in all likelyhood voted Obama. What does voting Obama have to do with anything? Plenty. Obama is an outlaw president who illegally holds the White House hostage and is imposing his law upon free loving people. His 'skin' supporters and illegals are mostly entitlement suckers who expect working people to support them.

Get used to it folks...Obama people feel free to get away with anything, and liberal judges like Bill Keesley help with soft sentences. On any given day in Johnston, in the vicinity of  that ghetto chicken place and ghetto liquor store, you can see a known sex offender walking about as if he owns the town and you will see him approaching white people and asking for money. This sex offender needs to be run out of town. [Removed] Why should the tax payers and residents of Johnston have to put up with this slimeball and his antics? No doubt another Obama supporter. Big Labor's right to work panic is an admission of worthlessness.
Thanks to Michigan’s approval of right-to-work legislation, the head honchos of the labor movement are positively freaking out.  It took less than four hours for pro-union demonstrations to turn violent, and since then they’ve been running around calling people “Hitler,” screaming about fascism, and telling everyone who will listen that their 1st Amendment rights have been eliminated. Of course, this is all false.

In regards to the antics of Mr. Dorn:  If the Chairman of the Council is not taking appropriate action, it may be time for the people in the gallery to silence Dorn.  May I suggest that the next time "Stormin Norman" starts a rant, the entire gallery stand and tell him to "Shut the hell up!"  Perhaps if even one person had the moxy to do act an impression would be made on him.  Maybe that will get his and the rest of the Council's attention that they work for the people, and the people will prevail.

Editor's note: I've thought about having people show up and do just that. But my guess would be that if they did so, that would be the only time Chairman Dean Campbell would use the gavel, to silence the people - not Dorn.

I too have wondered why someone would saddle a child with such a name.  I thought maybe they wanted their child to feel unique. As the mother of a middle school student I have seen how cruel other children can be over minor differences this just adds fuel to the fire. But then again maybe it is just a simple issue of not knowing how to spell?

What makes Norman Dorn so special that he can't be kicked out of a meeting for being the same bully he was when he was a teacher? All he did was bully students, tell them (us) how stupid we were and brag about how much money he had.
I agree with the editor, [Chairman] Dean Campbell needs to kick his butt out of the meetings if he can't behave like a human.

Editor's note: If Chairman Campbell is to afraid to take on his role as chair, a majority of council can vote to have Dorn removed for disrupting the meetings. They cannot remove him from office, but they sure can shut him up.

sir I wrote a wandering minds about the subject of people in our community that wrote about children performing in the parade a high school band mentioning porn , hooch and dollar bill payments and that our community needs to be very concerned regarding these people that connect high school kids with these words   The children were performing the choreographed routines and to look at a child and think such things is very inappropriate, and shows how there is a growing sickness to blame children for what  adults with filth in their minds think. Our community need to wake up and be more aware of this problem and watch these people that think smut when looking at a child.

RE: "What am I missing?  Why would this idiot keep being placed back in and those that are fully capable of doing the job overlooked?"

You're missing one simple little fact - they are exactly what they accuse others of being - RACISTS!  They vote for Dorn because he is black, and because of the Editor's explanation.  Just like the LIV4O crowd that again, voted for Obama.  The color of his skin, and the mere promise of getting even with those dastardly rich people - we're going to take from them and give to you, it's only fair.  Never mind you sit at home on your @$$, smoke crack or weed, play video games, become a stud for a broodmare, or be the broodmare and crank out children so you can get a bigger check, or become a thug standing on the street corner, you want to get even, get revenge.

So, if you are one of the "rich" people that has the temerity, perseverance, and an affinity to take a risk to better your life and the lives of your children by working hard, remember this - If you have to lay off (Better yet, instead of laying them off, find a way to fire them, then they can't collect another check at your expense.) people because of the looming tax increases levied against you to get even against you for having the audacity to take a risk and create jobs, IDENTIFY the LIV4O people in your business and lay them off first.  This is a good opportunity to purge your workforce of dead wood.  After all, if they are part of the LIV4O crowd, they aren't very productive in the first place.  Obviously, by their vote, they're not akin to conducting any additional research about anything, they just do the bare minimum, and follow others like sheep.  Give them their handout, eventually that handout will run out.  And when it does, they can go ask their racist bro's Bibbs and Dorn for a job.

I agree with the Editor's comments about Mr. Dorn and his behavior in the council meetings. I have wondered for some time now why the chairman allows this behavior to continue. There is nothing to fear if you are just enforcing the standards that are set up. If there are not enough controls in place to keep someone respectful and polite, than maybe the rules need to be changed. Simply following Parliamentary procedure be enough.  Anyone in leadership should know better than to behave like Mr. Dorn does, but then he is on his own planet. It is embarrassing for all of the residents of this county. I say, if he cannot behave in a respectful and proper manner, than he should not be allowed to attend the meetings. There should be some controls in place to encourage good behavior. Isn't it a sad state to have to try to figure out how to make a "leader" act like a responsible adult? The people that voted him in should be more embarrassed than any of us, but they just keep voting him in. What in the world?

Please someone get Dean Campbell to grow a set and kick Norm out and off council.

Even though he was elected to serve, there should be some way to reprimand him and get him off of the council.

Editor's note: Unless Dorn does something illegal, he cannot be kicked off the county council. That is what elections are for. However, Robert's Rules of Order govern the way county council meetings are conducted. Under those rules, Dorn can be removed from the meeting after being warned twice for disrupting the meeting on the third offense. Chairman Dean Campbell will never do it because, in my opinion, he is afraid of Dorn.

Maybe Dean needs to miss a meeting and let his Vice Chair take the gavel, she can show him how it can be handled.

Funny, both of these yo yo's would sell their own mother back into slavery if it meant getting something for themselves.  So, black community, you want these race baiters, you elected them, go ask them for a job!  Go ask them to hire you.  Yeah, that's right, they've never accomplished anything, they don't even know how to spell business, let alone start one so they can hire their brothers and sisters.  Black community - you voted for it, eat it.  What are you going to do when the tax money runs out?  Is Dorn and Bibbs going to give you your check? Dumb masses.  They'll be dead and gone , not even a memory in anyone's mind, and you and your children will still be looking for what they said they were going to do for you.  Duh.  Nothing. Why on earth do the people of district 1 continue to elect him?  William Smith ran one of the best campaigns I have ever seen on a local level.

What am I missing?  Why would this idiot keep being placed back in and those that are fully capable of doing the job overlooked?
What say you, Mr. Editor?

Editor's note: It is simple. Dist. 1 has a basic 60-40 split of black over white population. The only time an overwhelming majority of black voters will make a choice is in a primary vote. When the general election comes around they are going to punch a straight Democrat ticket and walk out of the voting booth not knowing who they voted for. A Republican or Independent cannot win in Dist. 1, period.

When Dorn is opposed in a primary, he wins with less than 15 votes.

The last principal at MES was not compatible with small children anymore. The new principal is not compatible with a small, parent/teacher involved school. Sometimes it takes a few changes to get the right leader in place. I would be happy to send my child to a private school but then, that does nothing to help the school that my taxes go to pay for. Parents and teachers shouldn't run away and just let things happen, they should speak up and fight for the rights of the students and their future. Or our local schools will end up in the same direction as our country.

There seem[s] to be different opinions as to the propriety of the performance of the T.W. Josey band at the Edgefield Christmas Parade.  I believe I have an explanation.  What you saw depends on where you viewed the parade.  The extremely vulgar, sex act simulating performance by the cheerleaders occurred at the first part of the parade route near the car wash.  I witnessed it.  I am told by people who were near the square that they cleaned up their act when performing there.  It is truly sad that there are high school girls who think that such behavior in public is appropriate anywhere.

If the last principle was doing such a great job why did they get rid of him? The school was in all probability “broke”. MES has the biggest bunch of whiny parents, if you are not happy take you child to a private school. O right that might cost you money and if you were this whiny at private school they would kick your child out. Grow up and get over your selves. How many of the local schools let you choose a teacher, none that I know of. You are just creating more work for the over worked staff.

To all the complaints about the TW Josey Band does any of these people watch primetime tv and are there children watching with them or do they only watch PBS because even the Disney Channel has "hoochng" ? I think that limiting the enjoyment of only having one band is rediculous and the more bands push each to be better and perform at there best therefore the more entries in a parade the more enjoyment for the community and the more revenue for our communitys' local businesses.  Also to all the complaints about the sound company have you emailed the complaints I'm sure they would be glad to know what you think they could do to improve.  I'm impressed that they provided a email address in their response that's more than the complaining people do.  My opinion is its easy to say what you think is wrong when its anonymous but who of you stand up and participate in trying to improve our community!!

To have our very own So. Carolina Army National Guard Unit as the Grand Marshalls was superb!!  A most special touch was the Veterans float.  Active Duty military and Veterans are not thanked enough for what they currently do and for what they have done in the past.
Every entry in our parade was great!!  To watch the small children who attended, with wide-open eyes and large smiles, brought joy to my heart.

Okay People enough already about the TW Josey Band!!! If that's all you can find wrong with Sunday's parade then it something wrong with you. When was the last time that anyone has seen that many people or participants in Edgefield Christmas Parade? The parade on Sunday was one of the best ever! I know that the chairman and the other parade committee members worked tirelessly many months to put on this parade. Downtown Edgefield was filled with people of all races and ages from 1:00 until at least 6:00 pm. The comments should be why wasn't some of the stores open for shopping after the parade? Some of the merchants could have decided to open from 6 to 8 for late evening Christmas shopping. There was money to be spent Sunday afternoon with the overflow crowd. We hear all the talk about "shop local" but when there is an opportunity to capitalize on potential business we fail to act!!! There should be some complaints about that (stores not open) not TW Josey's band!!!

Why does the new principal at MES thinks she needs to come in and fix what isn't broke?  As many of the parents may or may not know, we have been able to request our child's teacher for the past several years... and now all of a sudden we are not allowed too (they want us to tell them about our child's personality so they can better place them with the teacher of their choice).  Well if the guidance counselor was doing her job she would know the personality of our children.  If you don't want to let us choose our child's teacher, why not ask their current teacher who would be better for them?  They are with them 180 days of the year and know our child's personality just as much as we do.   So, Dr. Tucker, how about PLEASE fixin' what is broke and leave what isn't alone!!!  Sure it might be an extra step that someone has to do to make the parents feel comfortable with the teacher their child gets, but it so hard to go out of your way for the people that "YOU" want to support you and your school?

No one is disputing whether they had a right to be in the parade or not. Although, I feel that the only band that should have been showcased in this parade was our very own State Champion Strom Thurmond Rebel Regiment!!!!! Being in a different school district has shown me how much being in cluster meetings and regular classroom observations really helped me become a better teacher. The Edgefield Parade was incredible.  I don't think that I have seen that many people for any event in downtown.  For the most part, the parade was very touching and reassures everyone that we are a part of a small community that supports each other and generally works towards common goals.  It was good times with friends, family, and great memories past and present. However the group that came through at the end was repulsive. First, for someone to invite a school from across the river is one thing, then at that to have them dress and dance in the nearly naked fashion that they displayed was a disgrace to what we value in our small town. The festivities were memorable but I hope that something will be done to avoid this from reoccurring again. My 3 year old son was in the parade and many of his friends were watching from the sides. They get enough from the media and society at large, so why not try and protect the great things we take for granted in a small town.  I deal with alot of our community at large and have all intentions of seeing that something like this never happens again.  We, the younger generation need to take charge and have the courage to stand up for what we believe in and cherish in order to protect the future of our children.  The parade chairman should be ashamed for allowing such a thing to take place.

Did they not know they were supposed to be there or something. You would think they would setup BEFORE the groups started singing. Oh well what do I know!

Re: Katrina
Correct, the directive did come from Blanco, the Democratic Gov. However, my point was to show that it can happen regardless of who the POTUS is.

Editor's note: Yes, but it was not a directive of the Federal Government. However, that is very possible from Obama on a national scale as they are working to confirm a UN Treaty on Arms Sales that would hinder gun sales in America.

Re: Editor's note: The security measures already in place were not put in place by Gov. Haley. In fact, the IRS had given SC a green light on security prior to the breach.

Facts:
1) The IRS only gives green light on security for data transmission protocol. Any data transmitted to the IRS must be encrypted. Data transmission and data storage are two mutually exclusive events/procedures.
2) IRS does not approve or give green light on data storage protocol. IRS does not do audits of data storage procedures or approve/disapprove of data storage procedures. The IRS does not authenicate data storage procedures for any agency of any state.
3) If any agency wants to have security approved for data storage procedures they will have an independent private company test these data storage procedures, i.e., put out an RFP to private companies (Deloitte & Touche, Ernst &Young,Price Waterhouse) that audit these procedures and produce an Audit Report.
4) When Nikki Haley says IRS approved of any process, she only refers to data transmitted from the SCDOR to IRS. Any attempt to say that IRS approved data storage protocol is blatantly false.
5) Any attempt for the editor to spin what Nikki says is an untruth and misinformation.
6) Monitoring is not the same as Fraud Resolution protection. After one year if you do not buy Credit Monitoring, you will not be notified when someone opens up any line of credit using your identity. If you do not check your credit report or attempt to open up any line fo credit, you will not know what someone is doing with your identity/SSN. Once you find out, then you will have to take many hours/days/months to unwind and clear up your credit. The Fraud Resolution is insurance that will pay for debt incurred while someone has used a line of credit with your stolen identity. It does not monitor your credit history and generate alerts.
7) Check your bank statements for fraudulent transactions due to the data breach at the SCDOR
8) Check you email everyday if you placed Security Alerts on your bank account (s)
9) Check your email everyday for Security Alerts from Credit agencies if you enrolled in Identity Theft protection
10) Hope you are able to receive a federal tax refund if you are owed one unless someone uses your breached information to file taxes in your name (50/50 chance that you will not receive your earned refund)
11) The elderly and poor are most vulnerable since most do not have access to a computer to receive alerts and set up the free credit monitoring for one year.
12) This is a life long task that you must do for the rest of your life.

Those of you who voted for Obama need to see this.  This is what you voted to continue to increase in numbers while increasing taxes on the "wealthy and us middle and lower class".  Yes we are all going to get hit with Obummer agenda.  You will not escape simply because you voted for him.

Throw away the text books, forget the lectures, and every argument you have ever heard "Progressive" Socialist, Democrats have ever made about the "Compassion" ... of the Social Welfare construct they have so cynically used to create an electorate beholden to them.

JUDGE JUDY, totally obliterates the "Progressive" arguments.

Quote of the Day:

What is Christmas? It is tenderness for the past, courage for the present, hope for the future. It is a fervent wish that every cup may overflow with blessings rich and eternal, and that every path may lead to peace.~- Agnes M. Pahro

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. ~Romans 15:13

Congress' Night Before Christmas
"Twas the week before Christmas and those sly little elves,
Our congressmen, labored to better themselves.
They cared not a whit what the public might think
"Let them eat cake," some said with a wink.

And putting their thumbs to the tip of their nose,
they waved as they shouted "Anything goes!"

They scoffed at the thought that we might object,
to a tax cut for the wealthy of a posh percent.
They've got prerequisites-franking, per diem, and more --
bargain-priced haircuts and gyms (three or four!)

Paid speaking engagements and meals on the cuff,
celebrity status -- (they've sure got it tough!),

Yet they claim they're in touch with the man on the street,
as John Q. Public struggles to make both ends meet.
If all workers decided what they were due,
they'd be getting those fat paychecks too!

But while we take cutbacks or raises quite small,
and one out of 20 has no job at all,
our millionaire Congress decides on the budget
land trimming Medicare and Medicaid will do it, they say.

In this season for giving, our Congress is taking.
We've had it with them and our backs are breaking.
With hard times, disasters, and layoffs on our dockets,
we bit the bullet and they fill their pockets!

Oh jobless, oh homeless, oh desperate and needy -
dare anyone say our Congress is greedy?

If in this feeling I'm not alone,
take up your pen or pick up your phone.
As dry leaves before the wild hurricane fly,
let the road of your anger mount to the sky.

Indignant, outraged, appalled and beset
let your congressman know that you won't forget!
When election times comes -- and certain it will --
you're voting him out for passing that bill.

More rapid than eagles, their elections assured
they toasted each other and laughed at the herd.
And I heard them exclaim with adjournment at hand,

"Merry Christmas to us, and the public be damned!

Editor's post: Today is the first Saturday in December which means the whole family gets to go pick out our Christmas tree. And the size debate is already taking place. 10 foot plus, 6 foot to 7 foot, and one vote to go artificial with lights already installed. By the time most of your read this, we're already on the way. The artificial tree got voted down big time. So, it's off to the tree farm. Wish me luck.

Congratulations to the ST Rebels football team for a fantastic year. It is a shame the last game was stolen from them by some of the worst referees I have ever witnesses.  I realize Hartsville was playing
in memory of a team member, but that did not justify the horrendous plays called against our guys.  The coaching staff, players, and fans certainly deserved better from the SCHSL.  Too bad there are no instant replays!!!

Editor's note: Instant reply cannot be used to overturn a penalty. They can challange a call (catch, fumble, interception) but not a flag so even if it was possible, all it would do is make the fans even more furious with a bad call standing.

Re: Katrina, New Orleans and the confiscating of guns from law-abiding citizens..........

Remind me again who the President was during Katrina?  I'm a Republican but facts are facts.

Editor's note: I believe that was a directive by Mayor Nagan or the Governor (both Democrats) not the President.

Re: Typical Obama voter.  Blames Haley for this and she's only been in office for how long?, but OBAMA gets away with blaming BUSH for things still four years later.

Please remember the following:

1) Check your bank statements for fraudulent transactions due to the data breach at the SCDOR
2) Check you email everyday if you placed Security Alerts on your bank account (s)
3) Check your email everyday for Security Alerts from Credit agencies if you enrolled in Identity Theft protection
4) Hope you are able to receive a federal tax refund if you are owed one unless someone uses your breached information to file taxes in your name (50/50 chance that you will not receive your earned refund)

Remember this is for the rest of your life. So far, news reports show that there have been 5,617 attempts to steal the identites of residents of SC since breach. 4,962 were successful in setting up credit card accounts fraudulently, etc. Also, if your bank account is drained, the bank can charge you a surcharge for restoring your funds, since the data security breach was not their fault.

RE:" Editor's post: I've noticed several comments posted saying the person is not going to do business with a company owned by blacks. I personally have a problem with that. You are basing your choice on the color of someone's skin....."

You say we're basing our decision on skin color.  Wrong!  It's based on Obama voter.  Remember the old adage, be careful in what you ask for, you just might get it.  There are many people in our community and across this great nation that have pursued equality in opportunity for all, only to be continually regarded/labeled as a racist because they did not conform to the race baiter agenda.  And worse yet, if you dare disagree with the failed policies or incompetence of a minority, you automatically wear the “scarlet letter” even if you opposed similar incompetence of white people, ala Jimmy Carter. They have played the race card to enrich themselves while leading their own people to the slaughter house, so let them lie in the bed they made.

It can hardly be believed now, when we fight back after years of being accused of something we’re not, now we’re labeled as non-christians, as intolerant, or falling prey to the media traps.  So, we should be the whipping post for everyone? We should turn the other cheek, again, and again, and again?  Damn, now we know what it’s like to be an Israeli. You know, that door of respect swings both ways.  Quite honestly, a lot of us are tired of being that whipping post.  So instead of us fighting for equal opportunity for all, let them continue to play the racist game they chose.  Let them bear the consequences of their selfishness, greed, and hatred.  If they do not want to bear the brunt of their own actions, then let them police their own.
It’s also hard for you to argue your point when 97% vote democrat, so who else do you think they voted for?  That’s not even racial profiling, that’s just fact!  So if we choose not to do business with blacks, 97% of the time we will be correct in that we are not doing business with someone who voted for Obama. It’s not hard to pick out the one’s that do have dignity and intelligence, and those are the ones that will garner business.

Let’s not forget there’s only one race, the human race, as you put it.  And they voted for what race?  They sure as hell didn’t vote for the human race, especially since we are all going down together because political party members of both sides have sold this country down the river.  Instead, they were selfish and wanted for themselves, their race.  They voted skin color! They voted race!  They voted revenge!  Most of us voted against Obama, not because we are the “racists” we’re labeled to be, but because we want our country back!

And last, don't you dare try to use Hannah Mosley as a weapon to play on people's emotions.  If she opened a lemonade stand, she'd be wealthy and successful because we would support her business - WE KNOW EXACTLY WHERE HER HEART LIES!  IT'S GOD AND COUNTRY, NOT RACE!  Before anyone starts lecturing on skin color, they better have a chat with the idiots that voted for Obama BASED ON SKIN COLOR!  It's going to come full circle.  Those idiots just don't realize that "BLACK" man they voted for is going to betray them too, all for the good of the true cause - the destruction of America!  He doesn't give a rats @$$ about them.

It’s been said before, and now again, Obama has been worse for race relations than any white ever was, but his sheep haven’t realized it yet.
