  Credit Card theft traced to London web posted January 23, 2007 WESTSIDE – A Westside resident reported two cases of credit card fraud this weekend resulting in almost $2,000 in reported fraudulent charges being made to the account. The charges, made against the credit card, traced back to London, England. The woman told the Sheriff’s Office she believes the charges were a result of a recent online purchase. The Edgefield County woman reported that she retained control of her credit card but it was used to issue two $991 money orders from London. The woman has since cancelled her credit card and the case has been forwarded on for investigation. However, local authorities have little jurisdiction, if any, in cases abroad. For
