 Westside Fire Department site of most recent theft web posted December 30, 2008 WESTSIDE – The Westside Fire Department reported someone breaking into the fire station on Garrett Road over the weekend and making off with an estimated $1,500 worth of equipment. The theft was discovered when one of the firemen arrived around noon on Sunday saw the front door open and no one around. A Sheriff’s Deputy arrived and after surveying the scene called for an Investigator to come and process the scene. Photographs and fingerprints were recovered according to the incident report. Listed as stolen was a generator of an unknown make and model as well as a chainsaw. Serial numbers for the equipment were not readily available but would be turned over to the Investigative Division at a later date. ©
